2nd Annual Jackson Tournament

The Advance volleyball team avenged its only loss thus far before it sustained its second defeat of the season in a 25-21, 18-25, 21-25 loss to Lindbergh in the championship game of the Second Annual Jackson Tournament on Saturday at Jackson High School.

It was the only loss of the day for the Hornets, who advanced to the championship game after picking up a vengeful 25-13, 27-25 victory over the host Indians in the semifinals. Jackson had handed the defending Class 1 state champion Hornets their first loss of the season on Sept. 21 at the Lady Indians Showcase. Advance (25-2) downed Class 2 state runner-up Arcadia Valley 25-18, 25-08 in the first round of the Gold Bracket. The Hornets did not drop a single set and posted a flawless 8-0 record in pool play to proceed to the Gold Bracket.

The host Indians posted a 6-2 record to come out second in their pool behind the eventual tournament champion Flyers. Jackson (17-7-3) knocked off defending tournament champion Mehlville 25-18, 25-23 in the first round of the Gold Bracket before falling to Advance in the semifinals.

Perryville finished 7-1 in its pool with its only blemish coming in its last game with Mehlville, which was a dead split (25-13 both sets). The Pirates (20-6-2) came out second in Pool A behind Advance and went on to fall in the first round of the Gold Bracket to Nerinx Hall (25-20, 26-24).

Today's local (KC metro) upset watch C5 playoff game

Grandview at Pembroke Hill. We have already seen more than one major upset both boys and girls BB where a (heavy) favorite got shocked in a road district playoff game (two involved Kearney) and this could be today's! Staley is also playing at NKC still think the Falcons are the hottest team going in this area right now but another to definitely watch (will do so on MSHSAA. tv with updates today)!

Damn Details get you every time

It seems like that after both Wade and Willis testified under oath in Georgia last week that their relationship didnt start until 2022, but attorneys for Trump submitted cellphone records today showing thousands of texts and phone calls between them in 2021 and before. Also show Wade going to her home over 30 times in 2021.

This combined with a witness testifying they were involved as far back as 2019 I would think would lead a judge to determine they both lied under oath and would need to be removed from the case.

Not a good look for the Georgia DA

Covering DH at Tonka from home

William Chrisman at Winnetonka tips at 5:30 PM then clear and re fill the gym then the creme de la creme of KC MO metro HSBB take center court as Oak Park collides with uber rival and defending C6 champ Staley at 8 PM.

This old man showing his age too worn out from last night and major project work and meetings today to go in person so will plunk down the 21 bucks and watch both from home!

Bill Fox

Idk if anyone has already posted this on here but long time football coach Bill Fox passed away recently.

I was lucky enough to spend some time around ole Foxy around 16-17 years ago. Good guy.

RIP
