On further review, you are likely right. I never knew there were so few small schools in SEMO, guess WG has to be slotted there. I know we played them in Sectional a couple years ago and they advanced to win it all. Lakeland got knocked off by WG last year. Guess the next step would put them in SEMO.
Right now, I would probably have Risco ahead of SCC. Because Scott County Central is down 2 starters.
Straight up it’s not speculation. Check their districting. That is how I always break it up.
Too much work for an old man. But I gotta be honest and say I concentrate MUCH better on photos and notes during games like those than I did during Mercer's girls' 60-point romp over La Plata the previous day. … It was good seeing you too. Merry Christmas!
Interesting game for championship at the Linn Tournament this afternoon. Battle, enrollment 1102, (what are they doing in this tournament) vs. St. Elizabeth, enrollment 52.
St. Elizabeth falls by 30. But who wouldn’t.

I was at the SI-AV game. They’re a good team and take on Farmington for Park Hills Tournament championship. David vs. Goliath for sure.
Unfortunately for teams in SW Missouri, it’s Dora and Eminence’s world and everyone else is just living in it right now.
Winston moves to 12-0 after a victory over ranked C2 Sedalia Sacred Heart. (Sh is probably out of consideration as T10 in C2 with 4 losses now).

Farm coming off the PH Tourney win and P.B. coming off their own Showdown win knocking off two top ranked Arkansas teams with good size to win it, #4 Fayetteville and #5 Jonesboro. Jonesboro has been in the championship game 3 years in a row. They won it in '16 a row and P.B. has bested them the last 2 years. Another fun fact is that Marcedus Leech (signed at Iowa St.) who played, or was injured, at P.B. for a couple of years went back to Jonesboro this year.

North Andrew defeats North Platte 67-26. Next game for them is Friday night against Pattonsburg in what will likely decide the West Championship and the right to play Milan.

Thoughts: #7 Risco has been under my radar all year, and they keep showing up. SEMO is loaded. Period.... #3 Dora, #10 Eminence, #7 Risco, #13 Delta, #4 South Iron... wow.
Wellington-Napoleon isn't in the ranks here, as they have quite a few losses. They would beat South Nodaway and many if not all of the NE schools based on my judgement with comparable scores in the area.
St. Elizabeth is undervalued based on their ranking in their region, with two quality losses. South Nodaway is probably the most over valued team on the board.
Glasgow is sneakily climbing the ranks...another classicly good program with a great coach. Possible sleeper. No love for La Plata at 6-0 (they are actually 8-2 after losing to Mercer by 5 recently, so maybe they are where they need to be. Very well coached program.
Not surprisingly, SWMO just doesn't have much clout on the top 25. Lakeland hasn't played anyone to measure their strength, other than a close loss to a C2 undefeated Adrian (who also hasn't played a strong opponent yet). But, who knows.

Mound City stays perfect today with a 12 point win over defending Nebraska D2 champions and class program Falls City Sacred Heart. North Andrew also collected 20+ point wins over Pattonsburg and tonight versus C2 Mid Buchanan.

Also, putting two and two together, I see that St. Elizabeth lost by 22 in their first game to the Licking team Dora just beat in the Cabool final (insert reference to free throws here).
I honestly wonder if any of the other regions will be able to play at the level that the top 4-5 Semo schools are at right now. They will be battle tested and hungry. I think NWMO has a shot, but Mound City is the only one with that extra gear that may be able to hang in Springfield, although it remains to be seen if they will get there too. Lots of hoops to play!

I saw North Andrew in person for the first time tonight. They were very impressive. I am not sure they will beat Mound City, but I think the odds of them winning have increased.
