Lockwood Has left the building... No where to be seen. It's a big hit for them after losing 15-17 Seniors. They still have Bates But 1 guy cant do it all !! Lockwood Better Hope they don't run him into the ground.. Thank You Parkview lol
I got no skin in this, but it just caused me to question. If this kid "clearly moved for football", he goes to Springfield? Parkview? Sounds like his family might have been the recipient of a new job, therefore, he moves .....
If that is the same linebacker that I remember at Greenfield in the late 70's, he was pretty good. Remember him being pretty dominating. Well, except for a play at Jasper when Alan Wormington took him head-on and ran over him!
Ah yes Jasper's best team ever Well I only say that because of the State win in 1979.. Had a team go undefeated team a few yrs back that lost in the District Championship game. Man I wish I was born so I could have seen that. I Have heard all the stories tho.
Someone said his dad lives in the Parkview district. If so, it would be hard to deny him moving to live with his dad. It looks like a football move but would be hard to prove. I don't like kids coming up with a "moving in with my Aunt" scenario but, this particular kid needs to find out how good he is.
Why? You think Parkview will develop him in 2 weeks to where he should be and their schedule will test him? Colleges know talent. Bouldin is probably going to make someone a pretty good safety and Bates could be a special defensive end with the right development and program.
I think games against Kickapoo Joplin will better for him than Games against Liberal and Miller would be. And I may be wrong but more college eyes will be in class 5 than in class 1.. I've always believed if you Have the ability Of Ali and you can fight Foreman why would you want to Fight a bum(Class 1) !? If he had the chance to play Class 5 and Stayed in class 1 to be Great Imo don't make you great.. A kid with he's Talent should of Been in class 3-6 All along IMO and The same goes for Bates BUT he's whole family is from Lockwood so he has no other choice unless they want to move.

Kyle is NOT moving. His father passed away a few months ago. He may be playing football and he may not. He is dealing with some personal issues and he will handle the situation however he feels comfortable with. Either way Lockwood still looks to be very strong in the SRVC and their new district.

He was moving but it fell through. He has only missed 1 week of practice. They do have a line it's just 4 have moved up from JV and They are very good. There has been a very formidable RB move in if Kyle decides not to play. Other Teams in the district have lost much more than Lockwood such as Jasper , liberal, and Rich Hill. Jasper lost key players and their head coach with other key returners suffering injuries over the summer. Lockwood will be in the top 2 in the SRVC and at the very least top 3 in district. Bates is awesome but they have much more than just him. If you underestimate them you will very surprised and disappointed.
Drexel will be undefeated after the regular season so there is your #1. Then Adrain & Midway will have 6 games between them playing 2a schools and a 4a school. So they'll get bonus points over Lockwood who plays a JV team week 3. That doesn't even account for schedule strength. Lockwood will have to run the table and catch some breaks with the Wemo being way down this year to be a 2 or 3 seed in Districts.

Our Jv Team Last year was killing People and we have a few new kids BIG kids who can play and we have 14 seniors so anyone who takes Jasper Lightly will Lose. 2a-Thier OL & LB core will be better this year. So "a lot" is incorrect. 2b- = Hyperbole - Please give a specific game he changed?

4- History shows not knowing anything about something has never stopped you from pretending you do.
They play down 1 game as well. They dropped a decent Cole Camp program to play a JV team. That will hurt their district ranking.
WEMO schools are playing out of conference 1a programs with good records and strong strength of schedule like Lincoln, Crest Ridge. Most of them have multiple 2a out of conference games, with Midway playing 4a KC East. That is why the WEMO schools playing up and having a stronger strength of schedule will make it tough for Lockwood to be a 2 seed without running the table. But with the WEMO down so much, Drexel may be the only team above .500 so there is a chance.

He will have to practice 14 days before he can play per MSHSAA rules. Even if he has reported to practice this week, he would have to sit out the first game on the 19th.

We all know about the mighty Valle and how they win every year... and how they never recruit and how, just by some divine miracle, every year they end up with 40 or 50 phenomenal players who work & practice harder than any other kid in the state of Missouri. *insert eyeroll here*

Do you have any shred of evidence that Valle recruits? If they do recruit they have the best scouts on the planet since more than 90% of their students start there in kindergarten. So sick of hearing about this. They are obviously lucky right now with the combination of talent and coaching. But I guess if you can't beat them, bitch about them.
The School has 60 boys and 55 of them play football !! Im not saying they Recruit but any PRIVATE school who wants to be good in A sport has an advantage. And To say they don't is well wrong !!
