The truth about greedflation

Maga cavemen who act like they know economics are a joke. This is capitalism.
Live with it. Understand it. And just shut up.

Mo says Noot-Edman-Walker is the outfield

Carlson is the 4th OFer and they are fielding offers for O’Neil.

Nado-Winn-Gorman/Donovan-Goldy
Is the infield

So……..

2022: Monty, Flaherty, Mikolas, Matz, Dakota, Waino

Post Season Awards

Its ridiculous how many players receive awards anymore. Its like participation awards. It use to mean something to be All Conf. Now just about every kid on every team is at least HM.
An example of this is the just released SWMFCA Class 4 Awards. Monett who lost every game had 11 spots on the list. I am not picking on Monett just using them as an example. I know the Big 8 East had over 80 kids make All Conf. That's an average of 11 players per team.

Week 8 - Nixa (7-0) at Republic (6-1), biggest COC matchup with two eastern teams since????

Can anyone recall a bigger COC matchup between two Springfield area schools, at least in recent memory?

Obviously all signs point to Nixa in this one but Republic just keeps winning and doesn’t care what anyone else thinks of them. Curious to hear everyone’s thoughts and interested to hear older games you all might be able to recall.

Transfers

Three of the four 2023 Heisman finalists transferred to their current teams.
Seems that this portal thing is working out pretty well.

Over 1,100 kids entered the portal on day one this year. Some people still claim it will destroy college football. I think it just makes it more fair and interesting.

I would have finished tied for third if I wouldn’t have forgot to erase when I copied and pasted back in October. -sigh-

I guess I can “pride” myself in saying I was the only one who picked a perfect slate the final week of the season.

Was a fun year!!

NWMO HSFB 2022 quick review and a way too early peek ahead to 2023

One year ago my two NWMO teams to watch were LIBERTY NORTH and FORT OSAGE. Nobody could have predicted Jones' exit for Oregon which I do think, in retrospect, impacted the Eagles especially offensively. Fort was a model of overcoming early adversity and making a healthy run all the way to the Championship game so those two verified pretty well. What nobody could have predicted was the emergence of teams like KEARNEY and BLUE SPRINGS SOUTH. Another huge 2022 story was SMITHVILLE and how they showed the State that is a program built to stay. Nobody cares for consolation prizes in this fine sport but their effort vs. St. Mary's is something to be beyond proud of.

SO now on to a quick, way too early peek at 2023: My two main teams to watch are aforementioned KEARNEY and ROCKHURST who returns virtually everyone and should return to prominence (they showed signs of it at times during their daunting schedule this year). It will be very, very interesting to see how the ole Alma Mater files that hard lesson vs. Smithville in the cabinet and uses it for 2023 motivation with this very solid, deep JR class returning. In saying all of this I have no doubt, though, that LEE'S SUMMIT NORTH will enter next season the #1 team in the KC metro.

Overall it appears 8-man will continue to grow (they need to move to 8 districts and standardize with 11-man, frankly) and there is no way to know how especially the middle classes will break.

See you all next season! I tend to move on to other stuff once MO HSFB ends but will check in from time to time.
