Look into 2024

DESE has their numbers out so I have put those together tonight.

I know Linn and Christian will field varsity teams, University/Kauffman in district play after this seasons paperwork mishap, and Wellington-Napoleon is going 8-man. I believe MMA field a varsity team as well.

Anyone know if Pleasant Hope will field a varsity team?
Is the current class breakdown the standard with class 1 being the catch all up to 46 (thought I read that)?
Any other schools looking to go 8-man?

The only changed for the championship factor are St Pius X KC will bump 2 classes and Lift for life will bump 1

Republic 25 - Cardinal Ritter 38 (FINAL)

Tonight we’re in for a treat. We have the RepMo Tigers vs the Cardinal Ritter College Prep Lions of St Louis, Mo(I mean, most of their players live in Missouri) bahaha

RepMo comes into this game fresh off a 1 point victory over perennial powerhouse Webb City and sports a 12-2 record.

Ritter comes into the game with a 13-0 record after playing a daunting schedule which includes Vashon, University Academy, and Borgia.

The common opponent here is Helias.

Both teams beat Helias by single digits.

Looking forward to a nice clean game with no unsportsmanlike behavior from either side.

Great Championship Weekend

Congrats to all players and coaches on the participating teams. Regardless of the outcome, if you reach the state title game, you've had a memorable season. Except the CBC Cadets and their coaching staff, whose conduct in defeat was even worse than their plan for how to beat the Liberty North Eagles, and that is saying something. Did not watch all of the games, but plan to watch/re-watch them in the coming days. Seemed to be, if not the best slate of games in awhile, a very entertaining weekend. And a very representative sample of champions, public/private, from various parts of the state, new champions/old champions. Seems to be re-igniting some actual football talk about football teams and games here, which is nice.

State Championship Pick ‘em (FINAL RESULTS FROM THIS WEEKEND)

Gonna do this for state week. Think it would be interesting.

Here are the rules and points system.

-you get one point for correctly picking the winner
-if you do pick the winner, a bonus point can be awarded for correctly picking the point differential of the game(how much they win by)
-Tiebreaker: total points combined scored by all the teams that lose.(closest to the total without going over, wins the tiebreaker)
- there will also be a bonus question
