Has anyone on this board seen Truman this season?

Super, super busy times here this winter so haven't attended one Boys/Girls BB game but very curious, given the playoffs are right around the corner, about this team in particular. Could they possibly hang with National top 5 IWA? Could Raytown or anyone else in the Metro area knock them off?

In my mind this is best long term Girls HSBB program in KC history. Am I wrong?

KC metro/NWMO HS GBB C4-6 district time is here!

FWIW my little predictions in each district:

C6 D8 Park Hill South and it may not be close.
D7 Grain Valley (mild upset).
D6 Truman vs. Raytown the game of the year. Patriots by a smidge.

C5 D8 Smithville in another mild upset. The Warriors could just as easily lose to rival Kearney (they split in the regular season) as win this district.
D7 Carl Junction, out of region, dominates.

C4 D16 Benton is, in my opinion, one of the elite programs in MO but rival Chillicothe won't be an easy one. Cards by another smidge.
D15 St. Pius X has played far the best slate here.
D14 St. Michael and Pembroke a push. Flip a coin.
D13 Notre Dame De Sion has played their usual power slate and it pays off here.

Here comes the chaos

Next thing to sweep the country. Social media is allowing hell raisers to stir up trouble all over the country. And the cult is enflamed.

Interesting things about 1968 plays and classifications besides the enrollment numbers

The 4 classification were broke down like this. This comes from the Daily Standard September 26th 1968 Sikeston, Missouri. page 4 the complete rules can be found there.
The interesting thing I find is they broke it down by actually enrollment not by trying to keep the schools in each class even.

AAAA 1201 and Above
AAA 501 through 1200
AA 251 through 500
A 250 and under
There will be four districts for each Class with approximately an equal number of schools in each distric district will be determined geographically after cards are returned as instructed.
Semifinal games will be November 23, 1968
Final games Nover30,1968

KC Metro/NWMO C4-6 district time is here!

FWIW my predictions in each district:

C6 D8: Staley is the favorite here but many upset possibilities exist particularly rematching rival Oak Park but this is "the" year for the Falcons.
D7: Columbia Rock Bridge, out of region, a strong favorite.
D6: Lee's Summit West has quietly had a great season and should roll through this district.

C5 D8: Pembroke Hill is a strong favorite but Smithville has been coming on and that final could be a good one.
D7: Upset special I like Ruskin (seed 3) to win this one as they've played a very strong slate with several impressive wins.

C4 D16: St. Joseph Lafayette is one of the elite programs in NWMO but should collide with MEC rival Maryville in the final. Irish by single digits.
D15: Richmond by a whole bunch.
D14: Center is very solid another quiet contender I like but Southeast nipped the Jackets on Valentine's Day so this looks to be a coin flip.
D13: Trickiest district of them all. Nevada probably should win but Barstow has played a strong slate. Flip between those two.

Class 5 Districts 5 & 6 and Class 5 playoff picture

District 5 Championship

Class 5 #3 Helias Catholic(Jeff City) (21-6)
v.s.
Class 5 #7 Jefferson City (20-7)

JC beat Helias by 22 just a few weeks ago so this should be interesting

District 6 Championship

Class 5 #4 West Plains (21-7)
v.s.
Class 5 #5 Rolla (23-5)

WP beat Rolla by 5 just a few weeks ago. Should be another interesting game.

The winner of these two play each other on the QFs

5 of the top 10 teams in Class 5 are in these two districts.
Would have been 6 of the top 10 had #1 Carl Junction not been sent north.

There’s only 5 top 10 teams in the other 6 district’s combined in Class 5.

The winner of the QF between these two districts would likely play Class 5 #6 Lutheran St.Charles(23-5) who has a win over C5#3 Helias and a 2 pt loss to Class 5 #2 Burroughs.
Lutheran SC also lost to Rolla by 2 at the very beginning of the season.

If the districts and QF play out the way they are in my head, the Final Four will resemble something like this:

Top of the Bracket:

Class 5 #2 John Burroughs
vs.
Class 5 #1 Carl Junction

Bottom:

Class 5 #6 Lutheran St Charles
v.s.
Helias/Jeff City/Rolla/West Plains

Thoughts?
AC, Tad, everyone else

More great playoff scheduling

Farmington will be playing Cape Notre Dame for the Class 5 District Championship at Farmington HS. Tuesday evening at 6pm.
Park Hills Central will be playing Doniphan in the Class 4 Sectional game at the Farmington Civic Center directly across the street Tuesday evening at 6pm.
Two local teams that will have a big following and I'd bet both the traveling teams will too. Parking should be interesting.

Kickapoo vs Nixa

Poo beats nixa by 6 or so, they’ve really had Nixa’s number lately. Clark had a big game with like 25 but that was Nixa’s only focus on offense.

Poo did a great job of finding open cutters to the basket off of high screens. The help D of nixa wasn’t there

Now it’s Poo vs Republic for the district championship. I think republic wins that but it’s not a given. Poo is a really balanced team with different girls leading them in scoring each time out and they play well together for the most part. What they don’t have is that one girl who can go get a bucket when they need it, like Republic has with Bekemeier

Doniphan and Park Hills Central both had easy wins

In their district championships today, they will meet at Farmington for the sectional game Tuesday. Doniphan will have to travel about 100 miles and Park Hills about 5 miles but the court will be the same for both.
I really wanted to see this game but the Three Rivers Lady Raiders are hosting the Mineral Area Lady Cardinals Tuesday night to see who travels to play Moberly for the Region 16 title Saturday so I'll be staying in town.
