I wonder if SPS is fighting so hard because they used this to remove Mauk? If they lose could they be in for an even bigger lawsuit. On Social Media there are Mauk's commenting on every ruling.

Makes sense, given that Mauk was supposedly fired due to this whole situation. If Mabins is ruled eligible, then one would think that Mauk could sue based on false grounds for termination. Especially when SPS submitted a video with who they claimed was one of the Mauks working out with Mabins as part of their evidence to MSHSAA, and it turned out that it was not one of the Mauks in the video, just another kid's parent.

Mauk is already suing SPS for age discrimination.

Was he fired from coaching, teaching or both? Not sure if he taught there. It is hard to fight against a firing.

He's still listed as a teacher in the Glendale faculty directory.
