I decided to take a significant hiatus from this site...only to return and see some of your guys still crying about private schools "recruiting All Stars".

My GOD the CBC vs. LSN game was an absolute blowout. It wasn't close at all. That public school didn't stand a chance against the recruited All-Star team which is CBC.

Even though most of them are playing up 2 classes...we need to separate the public and private schools asap. The privates are just too damn good.

Well, there’s always the option to just go away. This is incompetence of these programs. They SHOULD do what all of your fever dreams are. Dominate most classes. It’s actually kinda embarrassing STL doesn’t dominate the entire state. Leaving out the unfair practices for a minute here. That my thought anyhow. When you guys aren’t pretending it doesn’t happen, and or saying (crazy shit like) “it happens everywhere”? You all are mocking people and saying it didn’t amount to anything anyways so who cares quit whining! It’s wild the hoops that you guys jump through here to justify something. Truly is. It is what it is. It happens. But it’s the lack of admittance that bothers most. This site is mostly consisting of NOT KC and STL posters. So yeah, you are going to see the REST of the state have issues with it. Shocker.

To be fair, the rest of the state is usually pissed about everything. Even if sometimes they can't articulate it, but saw it on YouTube.

The rest of the state doesn’t have issues with it just one the ones that get upset when they don’t win a state title every year.

You really believe you’re the majority because you’re the loudest on a message board. However it’s pretty clear that when the ADs and principals vote, you are not.

Funny part is it’s not always been a public vs private argument. In the 90s the same side of the state accused Hazelwood East & Central, Pattonville, Sumner and Vashon in Basketball.

You can claim Public school don’t get kids from other districts but it happen. Some 8th grade stud somehow ends up at your school because he “moved”. Blah blah blah. I personally have witnessed situations where families would use a relatives address or rent out an apartment and this goes all the way back to the 90s.
It happens so stop pretending like it doesn’t.

There was some great football played this weekend. Football as a whole as improved and it’s fun to watch.

Yeah, that definitely happened with the current Francis Howell team. No way that many huge teenagers just happen to end up in the same district.

Didn’t you know? Public schools are good because the community buys in, everyone works so hard and the coaches are great. Private schools build all star teams the win on talent alone because they are lazy and poorly coached.

Playing up two classes and still in the championship game should tell you something.....BTW, I believe this is St Mary's last year in existence because they Catholic Diocese of St Louis is closing the school to cut cost.

The public school coaches have voted on this a couple of times through MSHSAA but they voted against it.

Thank you for speaking for hundreds of public school coaches. You represent!

You don’t think ADs listen to their coaches. Let’s not mind many still are or where HCs.

They aren’t living their lives through 16 and 17 year olds like most of you are 🤣🤣🤣

I think the publics like that rule where their transfers get immediate eligibility. Don’t like your situation at LN go to LSN. that’s a pretty nice advantage, unless your school sucks, then it doesn’t matter.

Anyone on here follow high school football in Florida? Kids literally attend four different high schools throughout their high school career. There were over 1000 transfers in Broward county last year. There’s only about 60 high schools in Broward county.

Kids transfer all over the place during Christmas break. Most teams have an entirely new roster between the last day of school in December and the first day of school in January.

People can’t see the forest between the trees. Here’s what happens when you make that split.

Private schools create their own association. The first rule that association adopts is anyone can transfer in from a public school and be immediately eligible no questions asked.

But on the public school side, as currently constructed. kids that leave a private for a public would have to sit out a year.

To keep up the public schools will adopt the same rules as the Prock ages and eventually everyone will be able to transfer for any reason any time without sitting out a day.

So if you don’t like the system now just wait until there’s a scenario in which kids can transfer at any time for any reason and everyone will be hiring new recruiting coordinators because that’s what it will take to win games.

This is the scenario that is been created in just about every single state that has split the public and private schools.

Myself I’m a proponent of it .. if your community sucks or your school sucks and kids want to leave they should be able to leave without penalty just like they would if they were in the band.

Okay, so it was school representatives that voted against it. They decided to vote to instituted the private school playoff success multipliers instead

Florida is split up by Urban, suburban and rural divisions based on population density.

Yes, my point is the public- private split will create a similar environment to the school choice environment that led to the free for all in Florida.

The “recruiting” and transfers in Missouri is pretty tame compared to what it could be.

I believe that the archdiocese is keeping it open next year. Plus there is an alumni group that is trying to keep it open without the archdiocese help. Good luck with that. Know how to make a small fortune? Start with a large fortune and try to keep St. Mary's open.

Alumni group? Sounds like a Illuminati group ? Hell, even the Illuminati is being recruited by the dragons.

Your on this board..... clearly you are no different than any other poster....
Florida allows school choice. Missouri doesn’t. Unless we make that mistake we will be ok.
Open enrollment is coming....

And yet I don’t know one. Not everyone is scared of competing I guess.
Maybe a difference in rural and Urban... Transferring and moving is not a option. People tend to like to play on a level playing field as opposed to facing mercenary rogue teams.
