Public & Private

You just can't admit when someone is right. You continue to argue and try to make yourself right when this person just proved my point. He literally has a kid in private and public and said they don't offer IEPs. I don't know him or his situation, but he probably sent his kids on an IEP to public for the sole reason of the special services. I can read his post and see he's not saying that his situation is the only way. He only points to it as reference, but of course you turn it another way because you can't admit you're wrong lol. This is comical

Being a former foster parent and knowing many other foster parents and being in that support system I know many of those families and and kids. And I know several families within just our district that have taken in over 30 kids who are all on some sort of IEP. That is just foster kids and adopted families that I know, there are probable several others and many who fall thru the cracks. Then add just your regular families and thier kids and your numbers don't seem that far off, heck they might even not be high enough depending on the area and poverty rate, and many kids who actually need an IEP honestly are not on them.

My wife's grandma had a neighbor that saw a hoot owl and a chicken doin it once, and then the chicken laid a big egg, and the neighbor's cousins came over and said if you keep a blanket over it for a few weeks, it'll hatch, so they did and out came a full grown bird that looked like a perfect cross between a hoot owl and a chicken, cept it had gills so it could live under water, which proves that we can all live under water if we had ancestors that were hoot owls and chickens and they did it, and a lot of us do.

What am I wrong about? That there are schools that are Class 2 in football that have 100 kids on IEP's? That was your statement that I originally questioned. And I'll stick with that. Sorry, wanting real bad to be right about something doesn't mean you are.

Lol I never said that it was specifically a class 2 school. My statement was Class 2 and 3 schools could have 60-100 kids on an IEP. Somehow you take it that I'm saying every class 2 school would have 100 kids on an IEP. Most class 2 schools are going to have 60-80 kids with some a little fewer and some a little more. Most class 3 schools are going to have 70-100. Again, some a little fewer and some a little more. You continue to be proved wrong. You asked which private schools don't offer IEPs and he just said wherever his kid goes doesn't. I can almost guarantee you that MICDS doesn't or Cardinal Ritter or St Mary's. You just can't let it go that you're wrong.

You can go through the DESE link and see the number of kids on an IEP per district. It doesn't break it down by grade, but you can take the average and see that my numbers are pretty accurate.

Have you taught SPED or have a child on an IEP?

Doofus took the smallest school size he gave and the highest range number he gave and ran with it.

You added the word "every." Nowhere has either of us said every Class 2 school does. No need to put words in my mouth.
I asked you yesterday to name the private school that does not offer special services. You have not done so. That's not being right or wrong on my part. I'm not saying that it does not exist. Just asking a question that you have yet to answer.

You can claim Public school don’t get kids from other districts but it happen. Some 8th grade stud somehow ends up at your school because he “moved”.
Over the holiday I was chatting with some friends from Webb City who were irked by several families they know who are in the process of moving their kids into Webb City sports, ranging in age from older elementary to 8th grade.

It was an interesting take because I always made the assumption WC folks wanted the imported talent but not everyone does because those new kids, if they are good will inevitably "take" a spot on the team from someone else (who also probably moved there just longer ago).

The irony of the race card played by someone defending private schools is interesting considering private schools were mainly founded on segregation. To this day they have less diversity than public schools.

Look I’m not going through all the posts about St Mary’s, Lutheran North and, even more recently, Center.

And let’s not pretend like I’m the only one that has pointed it out. The worst part is, the reaction is always the same and makes the board look more racist.

For example what is something consistently said about football teams made up of our black brothers and sisters?
Athletic but poorly coached and undisciplined. I’ve seen it on here so many times it can’t be counted. Even in the last few weeks it was said about St Mary’s and CBC until a few of the more mellow posters stating that wasn’t the case. I’m sure you’ll type out an essay denying it though.

Anyway keep calling me racist. I find it hilarious giving I belong to the only ethic group that has to get a federal ID. It’s whatever though 🤪

I will say I have not read those post, I was talking about the Most recent post's I've been involved in. I have read nothing that approaches Racism.

I would say this being poorly coached and undisciplined cuts across all Classes and all Demographic. I see a ton of Poorly coached and undisciplined all white teams and Mostly White teams..... and fans and such often point that out.

I doubt anyone on this board thinks being a bad coach or undisciplined player is a Racial trait. That makes absolutely no sense and can easily be disproven.

If those teams are Poorly coached then that is a Reflection not of Race but of the hiring practices and the coaches own style and effort and if those teams are undisciplined then that is a Reflection of the overall Coaching not of Race.

Also all races can be Racist, you literally stated that the Whites in the Rural area's wanted a Private Public split because they are Racist against Black St. Louis Players. How else is one to take that opinion? Rural People hate the MICDS/VALLE Catholics/Springfield Catholic etc. as much as the other Privates schools.

One thing that is not being mentioned.
Yes most private schools offer special services. But when a child needs more services than they can offer they let the parents know they can no longer handle them and they need to transfer to a public school. Private schools usually only keep mild cases but public schools have to take them no matter what due to funding.

I decided to take a significant hiatus from this site...only to return and see some of your guys still crying about private schools "recruiting All Stars".

My GOD the CBC vs. LSN game was an absolute blowout. It wasn't close at all. That public school didn't stand a chance against the recruited All-Star team which is CBC.

Even though most of them are playing up 2 classes...we need to separate the public and private schools asap. The privates are just too damn good.
Unfortunately, your argument doesn't hold much water when the public school you refer to is well known for recruiting and housing players.
