Lebanon, Camdenton, Waynesville, Rolla

Lol. Do you still wear your 1985 state title ring? Or pull your old jersey on every Friday night before the “big game”? It’s not all just about football. And it’s not all just about the past. Moving forward, Joplin isn’t very good. Neosho will still be bad. Carthage no longer has Luke Gall and they’ll be extremely average for the foreseeable future. And Webb, well ya know, lost to that very average Carthage team. That’s the present and the future. But keep wearing that letterman’s jacket and spit shining that ring man.
In other words Rolla, Camya, Lebanon and Waynesville are all way below average

What a knucklehead troll. Afraid to check the facts and keeps posting garbage. Several of his recent statements regarding these conference moves have not come to fruition. What a knucklehead!

I hope they don’t. I’d like to see a conference provision to actually not schedule them. I mean, they bailed because they couldn’t compete. Why schedule them?
So schools should drive an hour further out of spite?

In the last 10 years compare how many state championship games in football that Carthage, Joplin, Neosho and Webb have competed in ,,,,,,,,,,,vs how many Camdenton, Waynesville, Rolla, Lebanon have played in!!!!
Probably why central-based schools need to keep them. Better chance for Ws. Or I can also see it as a revenge maneuver to keep potential nonconference opponents from being available for the OMC teams.

I don't think these schools are mad at the new league. To expect a school with 700 kids to complete in COC football would be absurd.

“ It’s not all just about football.”

Blasphemy!!

Of course it is about football. Most games in other sports are non conference anyway.

Which ones? I’d say I’ve been reasonably accurate about what has happened except the SPS not splitting their schools up. Which, btw, has always been their ADs belief. And it still is. But their supt is behind the split, not Josh Scott.

Carthage was good before Luke ever came along...they'll be fine especially with some good classes coming up.

That was definitely some knucklehead posts that I remember since you kept arguing with people like it was a fact. Another one was after the OMC voted to not accept Parkview and you said that SPS would tell the OMC that if they didn't accept Parkview, they couldn't have Hillcrest. Haven't seen that happen either. Sounds like you may be sharing conversations with Josh Scott on this message board as something that will happen even if the supt disagrees. I'm sure Josh Scott appreciates you for doing that. Knucklehead!

I love that you western folks think Joplin, Carthage, Webb, and Neosho add any more or less to the conf than Rolla, Waynesville, Camdenton, and Lebanon would. It’s comical the inflated self value that exists out there.

Both of those things are true. Josh has been on record before and stated he didn’t want to split the schools. You can like it or dislike it, but that’s exactly what happened. The supt overruled. It happens. For the record, I’d say it’s probably the best things for the individual schools as well. It’s a logistical nightmare for the ADs. But the supt doesn’t have to deal with that.

The entire OC hasn’t won a state championship or played for one in football in almost 20 years.
Ah yes, the measure of a schools athletics program…or even their football program…solely based on a state title in football. How the western schools measure their worth. It’s cute.

Waynesville won state in 2007, if I recall correctly.
Nearly 20 years. Might be off by a few, but the sentiment is the same.

The OC disbanding for football will benefit the programs trying to win if they join a more competitive league or use any open dates to schedule more competitive games.

Seems like a big piece that could cause it not to happen.
Let's hope that is the case and it derails this nonsense. Football wouldn't be the worst thing in the world I guess but in other sports I doubt any of the schools over here want to go to any of those schools nor would those schools want to come here. It just isn't necessary. There are plenty of other opponents that are much, much closer.

Prepare for disappointment.

Sounds like it's happening, They just can't decide how divisions for football will work yet.
It’s not happening. Leb might be the only addition…if the conf even allows that. Two of the other four definitely out.

If this isn't going through, did the CMAC offer them a better deal? Or is this based off other things?

Better deal meaning Camdenton didn’t want Will Christian as their representative collaborating with the existing COC ADs for their football schedule? Probably so.
