Nixa @ Glendale
Ozark @ Poo
Waynesville @ Lebanon
Joplin @ Webb City
Republic @ Willard
Neosho @ Carthage

Segregated week! Not much travel in the COC this week. The west stays west and the east stays east.

Waynesville traveling to Lebanon is the farthest game travel wise.

I'm surprised Ozark vs Nixa and Kickapoo vs Glendale aren't this week. Couldn't have been rivalry week.

Nixa @ Glendale...Nixa, by as many as they want. Duh. Pretty much the story of the season for them.

Ozark @ Poo...The winner gets a bye and then to play Joplin (and probably lose) in the 2/3 game in districts. The loser gets no bye and has to play Waynesville (and probably "win") in the 4/5 and then get destroyed by Nixa the next week. Moral of the story? Better pull out all the stops to get the W here. Poo is the big winner.

Waynesville @ Lebanon...Leb continues their winning ways and Waynesville gets one week closer to their imperfect season.

Joplin @ Webb City...Another L for Webb. How many are they up to now?

Republic @ Willard...REPMO by a bunch. Funnel cakes will taste sweet though.

Neosho @ Carthage...Carthage, by a bunch. Starting QB healthy or not, Neosho doesn't have the firepower to be as good as Carthage.

Crazy to think this is the last regular season week! Maybe because I've worn shorts to games EVERY SINGLE WEEK. Wrapping up the COC. Strange season. Nixa far and away better than anyone else. REPMO, Carthage, and Joplin the best of the rest. Leb the best of the worst.

- Nixa, by a bunch.
- Ozark, Kickapoo’s ready for basketball season.
- Lebanon, not sure what Waynesville has to look forward to.
- Joplin, maybe a little closer than expected though? Could see Webb playing hard like they did last week.
- Republic, also by a bunch.
- Carthage, all that shine Neosho had on them earlier this season has quickly gone away.

  • Nixa
  • Kickapoo probably in a close one.
  • Lebanon by multiple scores.
  • Joplin, by ~7
  • Republic by a lot
  • Carthage by ~21
A few weeks ago I was looking at Neosho as maybe of the more concerning matchups for Carthage but that is no longer the case. Can't look past the wildcats, but I would be surprised to see Carthage struggle in this one. I am assuming they are still without qb Spiva?

Joplin at Webb City is interesting. If you compare points scored and allowed they are nearly identical but Joplin is 5-3 and WC is 3-5. Both lost very close similar games to Carthage. I believe Webb City has only 1 win at home this season. Will they finish on a high note with a good win over a high profile rival or will the home fans be throwing their stadium seats and walking out in disbelief of what they've witnessed at cardinal stadium this year?

Also of note - KSNF will be broadcasting this game so anyone in the Joplin media market can watch it over the air on channel 16.

Nixa- won’t even be a dogfight between these birds.
Ozark- a lot are picking the Poo… figured I pick the old COC in what could be a close, either-or contest.
Lebanon- bizarre neither of these teams played Camdenton this year.
Webb City- hopefully
Republic- by a lot. Will say the first ever COC football game I ever watched was the 1988 contest between these two, and Repmo took them to the cleaners that year as well, before losing to a Jerry Kill-coached WC the following week in the sectionals. Memories.
Carthage- interesting cat fight, but the mutant blue tigers will get it done.

Webb should beat joplin by 7-10.

@BoosterBosko you likey?!?!

Nixa--> By a lot
Kickapoo--> Could be close, but I think Kickapoo pulls it out.
Lebanon--> Waynesville wraps up its 0-9 COC premiere.
Webb City--> Im not sure why, but I think Webb City will pull it out.
Republic--> By a lot
Carthage--> Starting Q back or not, Carthage is too much for Neosho up front.

Nixa at Glendale -- Nixa 52-6
Ozark at Kickapoo -- Ozark 28-27, OT
Waynesville at Lebanon -- Lebanon 42-6
Joplin at Webb City -- Webb City 32-31, 2OT
RepMo at Willard -- RepMo 45-0
Neosho at Carthage -- Carthage 42-7

Webb City doesn't think they will have much trouble with Joplin. At least according to the few people I've talked about the game.
I've heard the same thing from a couple of Webb fans. Their reasoning is that WC is improving and that they was 1 point away from taking Carthage into overtime......

Basing if off a few or a couple then? I'd imagine most in Webb see Joplin as the tough foe they will be. They were tough to beat in the past on the most recent state title years.

Webb isn't exactly known for their higher order thinking. Stick to what they know. Feathered mullets and football. Well, maybe just feathered mullets this year.

Yes, just a few. They played for WC years ago and they are great fellas but they loath Carthage and Joplin and we seem to get in this debate everytime Webb/Joplin play.

Honestly I think Webb can win, this game should be close. I just think the reasoning is flawed from the few people I work with.
I think they can win too.

I gathered that they really impressed themselves by not getting beat by Carthage. What I mean by that is I've heard a few comment that they simply lost the game by their own shortcoming (lack of kicker), but they didn't truly get beat. I think the normal webbiness is starting to creep back into the fanbase.

No such thing as “didn’t get beat” when the scoreboard says different

BUT it would not surprise me at all if Webb would win District 7 and advance
