Satire aside what a difference a year makes! 2018 SWMO had zero teams even make the title games. 2019 the Joplin area alone almost won all THREE largest class titles. 2020 Lamar is lone team left..............very, very strange.
SWMO weak in class 1, I dont consider Thayer sw, outside of Lamar and butler class 2 weak. Class 3 was pretty good, class 4 avg.
It is 2020. It’s the year of flukes and weird stuff that does not normally happen. I wouldn’t get real worried about a decline in SWMO football.
definitely rigged and far too many irregularities to be a legitimate season. word on the streets even some deceased homeschoolers suited up and took a few to the house. very very unfair to swmo.

Some of it is a matter of who you talk to but I consider BATES county to be West Central MO. VERNON (Nevada) is where SWMO begins.

If we are talking the new 8-man WEMO, who cares, Joplin can have them. Tell the people at CASS-Midway they are SWMO and part of the Joplin metro.
Yeah, if we divided the state into 4 corner chunks, Midway would probably prefer Northwest Missouri; although it is high-quality 8-man country. As for Cass County, I've always been curious as to how the Midway area hasn't had enough urban sprawl to turn the Vikings into at least a Class 2 or 3 contender, and out of the WEMO long ago. Just kind of shocked they are still Class 1.
Why yes, Jasper and Newton County. 4th largest metro in the state, surprisingly with the way Joplin and Carthage are ran. Northern Jasper County is WEMO country.
