Anyone have any other thoughts on the top 10? We are due for an MBCA poll release soon I think? Anyone have their playoff tree mapped out like I did before? any changes or injuries?
WG tiger dad...I know Walnut Grove is a three point machine...(especially Thomazin) how many career 3's is Logan up to?
Do you know what their program record is for 3's made in a game as a team? Wondering if they need to submit all that stuff to mshsaa.
Also, have they seeded the Nixa tournament yet? Curious to hear who they will play?
The Tournament does not seed they pick the teams randomly.Typically the Nixa Tournament does not seed, at least that’s what they have done in the past
Harrisonville seems to be a winnable game for them. Watched Harrisonville yesterday. They are solid, but not flashy or have one or two unreal players. Could be an impressive win to the resume. The Tournament does not seed they pick the teams randomly.

In regards to their playing style...do they do anything unique? Just saw it was noteworthy to you.

I don't think that style of play will work well with the final four potential teams...a lot of them press and play fast. and can shoot well. They play a pack line, sagging man to man defense and ball control on offense, which is unique in todays game. They want the score in the 30-40s if they can.

Dora gets to come to The Grove in a few weeks Feb. 6th. Should be a good test for us and them.If I'm coaching Eminence...I'd be happy to see that honestly...can keep harping on the disrespect and how other teams think Dora is better.
I agree with your assessment though.
I think it will be a good game because they play similar styles and Walnut Grove has a little size, but doesn't play in a way that requires them to score much. I will bet on a high scoring game.Dora gets to come to The Grove in a few weeks Feb. 6th. Should be a good test for us and them.
I'll take a stab at it.
#1 North Andrew
#2 Lakeland
#3 Winston
#4 Jamestown
#5 Eminence
#6 Advance
#7 St. Joseph Christian
#8 Dora
#9 Chamois
#10 Walnut Grove
I know that Walnut Grove has a bad record, but they've yet to lose to a Class 1 opponent, and the teams they've lost to have been tough schools, including a <10 point loss to Class 5 Carthage, who many would argue would be in the top 10 in their class
Advance doesn't best Eminence in the rankings because of their amount of losses, even though they've bested Eminence in a head-to-head match.
Many are arguing Carthage is a top 10 team in Class 4? Really? Who is arguing that?
I have only seen WG once this year and I can say that was the first time I have ever seen a WG, Meinders coached team, be out worked. Almost like the edge was gone. Of course that was 2 weeks ago or so. Still think they are the team to beat out of SWMO. The two most likely teams to give them a run for their money are Hurley and Greenfield.I think the thing voters need to look at is, who in the Southwest can beat walnut grove head to head? No one has done it yet in class 1. Hard to go against a team that has been to the final four the last two years and has most of the core still.
Winston is kind of in the same boat as Lakeland...largely untested (but for some early season games) and are really young. I think they are probably still down in the bottom five of top 10, but will know more when they play SJC soon.
might as well print that quote out and put it on their bulletin boardI have only seen WG once this year and I can say that was the first time I have ever seen a WG, Meinders coached team, be out worked. Just wondering who they were playing when you watched them get outworked????I have only seen WG once this year and I can say that was the first time I have ever seen a WG, Meinders coached team, be out worked. Forsyth; granted Gilkey was just back and didn’t seem to have his legs yet. I thought the length bothered WG a little bit. Still thought WG was the better team, just didn’t pull it out.Just wondering who they were playing when you watched them get outworked????
I wonder if Fair Grove, Mountain Grove, Ash Grove, Oak Grove and Pilot Grove take offense to the “the Grove”. I smell lawsuit...haha. I always knew they would be ready.Walnut Grove beat a 10-4 Weaubleau squad 79-48 last night. Seems like The Grove is starting to hit its stride and get healthy.
Not sure about “ the Grove “ lawsuit. Lol it’s just something that started a few years ago and stuck. This whole team can shoot it a little bit. You sag off of any of them and they will make you pay for it.

I’m not sure Coach Ditka’s Chicago Bears could outshoot Thomazin...

Polo is Class 2. They are also 8-7. They have had some good wins, but they will not challenge for anything seriously with Mid-Buch, Stanberry and Plattsburg being in the same district. So everyone knows I am just a Redbird
Fan Not any part of the coaching team at winston. Looking at the game schedule this week I see there are some big games this
Jefferson is in the north platte tournament
North Andrew is in the king city tournament
A team not on the radar is Polo they are in the north platte tournament and gave winston a run for there money in the Osborn tournament last week
