Mid-Mo Pigskin

THANK YOU that was a lot of great info packed into one pub! Several of these are on my State radar just gotta wait and see about class and district assignments for many.

Blair's schedule is chock full of great non-leaguers as usual (their visit to the KC metro will be extremely interesting @ BVNW who should be a very strong KS contender). Helias-Hannibal is good as Week 1 will get and I like Rock Bridge and Troy Buchanan (who plays O'Fallon IL and Hannibal again early) among the larger schools.

South Shelby and Centralia are smaller school standouts as is Bowling Green but D numbers would concern me a bit there. They host Valle Catholic Week 8 that should be a marquee contest. There actually is a sneaker among the real small class schools in our NWCMO region Lincoln. Returning every single starter either side of the ball let alone both always catches my eye.

The other medium enrollment one I liked reading is Moberly. They have a very interesting apples vs. oranges opener vs. Pewaukee WI.

Who “won” your jamboree?

Are jamborees becoming the high school equivalent of college tier 2 post season bowls? Studs are setting out to avoid injury, teams don't show much and if it weren't for peer pressure, coaches would opt out? Teams stage joint practices with scrimmages and teams camps offer pretty realistic scenarios, maybe jamborees are going the way of the Bike helmet, the one piece girdle and the "water breaks only make you sick" practices?

I thought the parade was at 2:00.

I thought Seneca looked the best. They played Joplin even and destroyed Webb City. They will be one of the top teams in Class 3.

Lamar doesn't have the size or the numbers they have had in the past, but will be in the running in Class 2. They played without their all state quarterback, Wilkerson, with a minor injury. and also held out their top running back with an injury.
No Pius this year so this looks like Seneca-Blair Oaks somewhere deep in November or early December...........
