Yes, the current senior citizens who were smart and invested the disposable income they had are definitely sitting well. Congrats on making good decisions based upon your situation. If we are judging economies solely based upon the stock market then Biden’s economy is a success. Trump was an idiot to constantly tout an easily manipulated standard of success. Do a majority of people today have the same disposable income as you 10 20 30 years ago? That does not seem to be the case and apparently us manufacturing needs assistance because Bidens 18 billion in tariffs is a similar attempt to prop up us businesses and in effect the stock market.

I understand that we have to do something to compete with Chinese prices, but I don't know if this is it.

I’m trying to figure it out myself. Biggest thing I see is 100 percent tariff on Chinese EVs seems essentially like a ban. Trump just got attacked for saying it was going to be a bloodbath for US car manufacturers unless something was done about China and there cheap EVs and then all of a sudden Biden is doing what would seem a 180 and going harder than Trump. I’m hoping to hear from the Trump tariff haters and how they feel about Biden and from the Trump tariff lovers and America firsters who should be praising Biden.

Biden said these are a “smart approach” to tariffs now so it’s different and better.

Penn whoops I mean Perv State is no longer a "good name" after Sleazy Joe and Backdoor Jerry... they "sullied" themselves and their university. At least Aaron Donald had the good sense to go to Pitt ! ;)
