Wow, I feel cheated, only got 2 cents 😄 Hauled for a farmer in PC named Mr. Landoll, had several daughters, older brother dated one for a minute, it's how we got the gig. Revno probably dated one too ha.My Uncle used to tell me we were going to work on my tackling (castrating hogs).
Got a nickel a bale my senior summer. Was rolling in dough!
My alma mater made the final four for spring softball last year and they’ve probably got an enrollment of around 375 or so grades 9-12 if I had to guess.Just did the math and there are 130 schools that play spring softball across 2 classes. Way more than I expected to be honest. Schools as big as Buffalo actually play it and I thought it was all tiny schools. Not that Buffalo is big but you get what I mean I'm sure.
You owe me a week of Mahomes avatar fun! No pass for being "absent" last week.
Some choose to support both those programs and the ability to field teams. Most of those schools that play these sports in theses seasons would not have the #'s to support both if same season. A few teams see a chance to chase added success by being the bigger teams playing. All my opinion, but all makes sense.A lot of smaller schools that can’t support volleyball and softball both in the fall. Or don’t want to support both.
If I'm in Nashville I want that spicy chicken lolMy favorite will always be nashville. Imma sticky bbq guy. Haha.

Just one? They have a kid on the team that I coached several years in youth...
If that happens BO should throw away their playbook and start over from scratch next season as something defnitely did not work against an evenly matched opponent. In other terms, There will not be any turbo clock in the class 3 final.
Indians by at least 35
Thats a great/classic story!I am trying to remember most of the details, and some background information on Coach Hurst. This was his first coaching job and he was a Vietnam veteran. I thought this was during my freshman year, but I have others who were a grade younger claiming they were at the practice.
It was during 2-day practices before school started. The number of players out for football was in the low 20’s so we could not practice 11 on 11. We were practicing on the school playground north of the football field. We ran most offensive plays without a defense during the preseason and would huddle up to call a play and go 5- 10 yards. Then huddle up again and repeat the process. As the players broke the huddle to line up one side of the offensive line would not get in the stance as the play was being called. There was a large snake (I think it was a black snake) on the ground in front of them. Coach Hurst was behind the offense to watch the execution of the play and was visibly upset that the players were not getting in their stance. He walked over and in one motion reached down and picked up the snake by the back of the neck area. He continued to walk around holding the snake as he watched the players run more plays. After the players messed up a play for the second or third time he moved to in front of the offensive lineman and was pacing back and forth. He was questioning the manhood of the players and wondering what type of team he had. Then he stretched the snake out with his two hands, holding it above his shoulder, and then lowered the snake and bit in two. He turned his head, spitting out part of the snake, and then asked who was ready to play football.
Coach Hurst was also a science teacher and during that school year, a few students would bring snakes to school in Jars to give to him.
Coach Hurst moved on to Stockton, and Nevada to coach. A fellow teammate and I caught up with him at a MU game several years later and we discussed the snake incident. He admitted that he lost it for a minute and explained that was how they would dispose of snakes in the jungle while in Vietnam.

There are state Spring softball championships for 2 or 3 classes.
If I had to guess, I’d say 80 schools play in the spring? I could be wayyyy off though.
Interstate in Memphis is best in TN.................My favorite will always be nashville. Imma sticky bbq guy. Haha.

My favorite will always be nashville. Imma sticky bbq guy. Haha.I invite you to try any place I recommend and then speak on it's validity.
The biggest issue with KC folks is they get butthurt if you call their baby ugly and immediately go into defense mode when they have not even tried true Texas bbq. I have tried every place recommended in KC and have found only 2 edible joints. Harp BBQ formally in raytown now in Overland park and Chef Js in the west bottoms.
Don't get me started on the trash ass mexican food here, however Katrina's taxes and tequila in Independence in good
Seems like an unfair advantage for them to be on horses...
Indians will run away with this one!

fair point. It really does not matter now days since it is based on the number of games you play instead of the 2 or 3 tournament max. Old days, if you had a bye, you would lose a game on the season. Now you can just pick that game up. Also, smaller schools have a 1 or two year window where they are really good so they look to move up for a year or 2. Example this year is Eugene. They are playing in the Jeff City Holiday tournament because they have kids that can compete, unlike most years. Fatima was that way for a few years.
