Why did we let Lance Lynn go?

Can't remember, I know it has been several years now, but why did we let him go? Thought we had better and young pitching and he was an odd man out?

He threw too many fastballs that were hard to square up and he was a great but snarky interview. Oh yeah and durable... not what they were looking for. 😏
