Whats the MAAA look like this year? Ste Gen, Central, NC, Potosi all returning a lot of players. Farmington with a very good group of Freshmen. Fredricktown? Small school side looks to me like West County and Arcadia Valley. Valle Cathloic who knows. I like Central to win the conference and district. Potosi with a new coach and all those young players should be fun to watch. NC and Ste Gen both very talented.

I agree. I think Central is the front runner with Horton leading the way. NC has great size but not sure guard play will be good enough. Anxious to see how the Farmington freshman handle the jump to high school basketball. Ste Gen has a good core returning. Should be some good games between those teams this year.

Don't forget about Potosi. I think they will beat some of these teams as well. AV has arguably the best guard tandem in the conference and WC will be a tough out too.

Central has to be the front runner because of their style of play, but I think those 7 teams could beat each other on any given day.

Remember Ste Gen won regular season conference last year. Think there's a lot of parity this season.

Yep, the MAAA should be competitive this year. I would guess that there are more girls than boys playing select travel ball. Talent on the boys side has been pitiful for a couple years.

I agree should be a fun year in the MAAA girl's side of things. The lady rebs will have some big pieces back, but will have to work hard to replace the grittiness of their graduating class. SG will be athletic as all get out with some size also, NoCo will be huge and has some athletes, Farmington will be young, Potosi will be young but scrappy, I'm not sure about Fredmo. Could be a year where the conference champion is 4-1. I think anyone can beat anyone on a given night whether shots are falling or not.

On the girls side? Not that I’m aware of, other than incoming freshman. Idk how many of them will see any varsity time, there is a junior who came back out after taking her sophomore year off.
On the boys side, there are a few freshman that are pretty good, other than that, no new players.

Anybody know why Potosi game was postponed? Seems odd since there wasn't any weather.
