C6 Liberty North - yes they have the ability but it is a tougher road than last year
C5 Cardinal Ritter- Majority opinion is it is theirs to lose
C4 Kearney -Kearneys biggest issue last year was in their own region after beating smithville noone came close to even playing with them. All roads lead to Columbia if they stay healthy
C3 Central- loses too much and is in to tough a class to repeat. My money is on new champ
C2 Lamar- Can Lamar repeat the clear answer is yes, is it an easy path? hell no. fun year for 2
C1 Marionville- i do not keep up with class 1 very well so yall tell me

whats everyone else thoughts?

Very early percentages (I actually got 4 of 6 11-man right last year FWTW):

C6 Liberty North about 40.
C5 Cardinal Ritter about 98.
C4 Kearney about 40.
C3 PH Central <10.
C2 Lamar 60.
C1 Marionville this depends on who may move down but all things remaining equal let's try 65.

Starting to find some stuff one month til kickoff but definitely (belongs on C2 thread) local team to watch big time is HIGGINSVILLE.
As stated in an earlier post most likely that c2 you speak of. LC will meet up with Lamar at some point and I'm not sure who wins at this time. LAMAR IMO is not as deep as they were last year and I believe LC is better. Time will tell

We need a Bowling Green preview, too.
Class 3 I'm taking Blair Oaks.

Bowling Green will be good but not like the past few years. Return QB and a good RB, very good TE and couple linemen. Defense lost entire secondary will have couple linemen back and LB's. Somone from up there may give a better preview. They play Valle on 10/18

Lamar has to have some youth step up. But it’s not nearly as much as what was needed form 2019 to 2020. For example. But 3 of those guys won’t be easy to replace. Time will tell. Yeah, LC might be really tough this season. They are going to be better from what I’ve heard from those who went to the camp they went to at Lamar with FG.

They open hosting one of the most storied programs in MO nobody seems to be talking about (yet) in Maryville. Those two have made that an annual event.............

It will be. I was just curious last week and saw some film on some of the kids and stuff from last season. They are a load for sure.

Feel like that town is growing too. Have always respected that program. It’s a fun watch.
You should given you all and BO staged one of the best Title games in MO history year before last!

A St. Pius X - Kearney playoff game would be beyond fun to watch...................amazing given their geography have never played in FB.

I like St. Pius X. They are coming into their own. They do have a lot of good players back. Their schedule was overall pretty good last year,. Maryville was a big win for them. Kearney beat at least three teams better than Maryville last season, and ran turbo on two of them. Pius would have real trouble with the Smithville defense in a playoff scenario. Pius D against good teams last season was not strong.

Heading up to Savannah to see them host Pius Week 9. Cannot be in more than one place per week of course but looking forward, also, to how the Savages look this year. There were flashes of top tier play including in their District semi where they hung with eventual champ Kearney for 2.5 quarters.

Smithville will have a very solid D back. I am never real high on teams transitioning from an elite HC to an unknown promoted from within (see Kearney 2017) but Week 3 could be a very, very physical one hosting the aforementioned defending C4 champs!

Savannah has a very capable quarterback that is back. But they lost their stud RB Chappell, and their best WR, Snapp. Their second-best linebacker and their best defensive back graduated as well. Good senior class that moved on.

Heartbreaker, but was proud of the boys. We didn’t really have a right to be in it on paper. So couldn’t have been more proud with that effort, it was almost enough.

I feel like every season, Lafayette County C1 (Higginsville) rolls into Lamar undefeated and then gets thumped. I'm an MRVC guy so I hate to see it but until proven otherwise, I'm not betting on Lafayette County C1

Don't, I'm not
I just know Lamar lost people and LC is better than last year, I need film before I make a call lol

Stating the very obvious it was one of those "sorry to see anyone lose" games. The trophy case says it all!
The game that haunts me though is the Lutheran St. Charles game. Felt we were the better team still even today. We choked that one away.

But at the same time. Definitely thought Lutheran North was the better team in 2017. But we pulled that one off. So that’s the game!

The offense will likely be a video game yet again................
Their offense will be insane this year compared to last year. Especially with the transfer of Dapkus who was all state as a sophomore at southern boone. Blair Oaks will use him in the backfield and in the slot. BO was great last year but this year's team should be even better.

Averaging 63 a game agree!

LC deserves some respect. They are a program in class 2. I won’t discount them. I think it will be a good game

Bump because....FOOTBALL!!

Carthage could be a real problem for the Cardinals. I really think Webb takes out Nixa this year. I am not believing in them to be a top 10 team.
The biggest questions for me are Nixa and Republic. They were both very good last year and both lost a ton. Nixa has a great coach and an enormous talent pool and has been very good in upcoming classes. So has Republic. So they could take a page from Webb City's playbook and just simply "reload". Or they may be good but not great.

I think Carthage will be pretty good, maybe very good. Almost everyone is returning so they will have more experience than most teams. On the other hand it's basically the same team as last year which had some serious flaws.

Webb City without their best player is unfortunate but they still have a ton of depth and I think they will be good enough to beat or at least hang with anyone on their schedule.
