Let's take a deep dive into Class 2

District 8 still has 4 of the top 10 with one week to go.

#3 Lathrop
#5 Lawson
#7 Macon
#10 Lexington

Standings:

1 Lathrop 8-0 49.61 East Buchanan (7-1) 10/19
2 Lexington 7-1 45.16 Richmond (0-8) 10/19
3 Lawson 7-1 44.75 Mid-Buchanan (5-3) 10/19
4 Macon 6-2 42.23 Centralia (5-3) 10/19

Don't think Macon can move up even with the Class 3 opponent if all hold serve. If East Buchanan pulls the upset could see either Lexington or Lawson as #1 seed. Richmond's record will lower Lexington's score a bit, just not sure if enough for Lawson to move ahead.

Anytime somebody doubts lamar its worth a solid 1-1.5 pages plus i think it speaks to the depth of c2 this year with 3 clear favorites but another 4-5 with a legitmate shot
I don't think there are that many with a legitimate shot. Just my opinion. I think there are about 3 or 4, same as most classes. Just because there are a bunch of teams that don't have much separating them doesn't mean that any or all of them have a legitimate shot at a state title.

Kahoka tops my list on weather. Dangerous location to draw.

Their artificial surface is much better than natural grass in regards to adverse weather. However, they do have great fan support! I am hesitant to say they will be hosting any playoff games (besides weeks 1 & 2 of districts) after seeing the results of last weeks game, but a lot can change in a month!

Rockport, MO has to be worse weather location in Missouri. When it rains heavy it floods and late in season you get cold nw winds and a snowstorm out of Nebraska every few years.
You said Rockport and my mind went down a rabbit hole.

Now that’s what I’m talking about. They used to party at Tarkio College if I’m correct. Lol.

And as far as Rock Port goes, no comment. Never had a very high opinion of that town or it’s inhabitants for the most part.

D8 is set. Indeed, Lawson was able to overtake Lexington due mainly to Richmond's winless record. Their reward - hosting a tough Brookfield defense:

1 Lathrop 9-0 49.9
2 Lawson 8-1 45.4
3 Lexington 8-1 45.02
4 Macon 7-2 44.11
5 Carrollton 3-5 25.03
6 Trenton 3-6 24.67
7 Brookfield 1-7 23.25
8 Richmond 0-9 18.77

"The page is unavailable. We're sorry for the inconvenience but we are experiencing some technical difficulties with the page you requested. Please try again soon."

That's what I keep getting now. I'll try for a bit longer, but as I have to work tomorrow can't promise much.

Just spinning for me, not even getting a page error. It is quite irritating that their server can't support the traffic.

Lamar’s conference schedule doesn’t allow them to play larger school out of conference. Even undefeated, they have a cap on District points. Not that it’d matter for them. Even a loss to Class 5 and 6 level schools was huge for Lutheran North. Interestingly, their first game against a Class 2 opponent all year will be in the first District round. Chaminade got shellacked 40 - 0 last night.

Throw in Lathrop and you got your semi's imo.

That’s my prediction. I think Lamar’s loss was the best thing to happen to them. The moviation alone will be good for them. Hopefully Cassville also represents the Big 8 this year as well!

LN appears to be playoff ready. This is why you play a stacked schedule and risk losing games to bigger schools. Those 3 L's don't matter now other than providing them with valuable preparation for the playoffs.

Being prepared like LN and Lamar are great things. BO can beat LN though
