Well unfortunately it’s to late for a debate. My next concern is the vote count. What am I saying Bosko always votes yes and the other 97% votes no.
I think you're mis remembering. Cards and Gollum have both been voted in. So 97% of the other Doc Guys do not vote no. Plus, I mostly abstain courteously and never really vote.

Easy there buddy! I've voted Yes on a few occasions! If I had voted yes, Gerry and many others would be Honorary Doc Guys. NICE TRY!

Well, 3 out of 192. That is way worse...way way worse than the 111 people under 14 that have died "with covid" out of the 1.2M that have tested positive. Now that's some fear, right there.
Almost seems as though you purposefully said "with" and not "from". Hmmmmm, that's interesting.

Well, you've probably read the data...COVID is a catalyst for bad things for people with multiple comorbitities. The cold...I mean COVID...doesn't do the killing, it is the secondary infections and complications that already exist. That's why two-thirds of the people dying "with COVID" would have died this year, whether or not they ever had it.

6% positive test rate. 2% death rate. 70% of the 2% of the 6% have at least two major underlying conditions and are at least 70 yrs old. You could say I've read the data.

2% death rate from? THose that test positive? I know a family where one person tested positive, then the 4 others didn't bother to go. 2% including the 60% to 90% that are asymptomatic? If you factor those in, the death rate drops to 0.1 to 0.37 depending on what political party you are in.

I get it...I'm just okay using the current 2% of deaths with...don't even have to worry about the "if, but for" stuff. That number is still so ridiculously low by itself, it makes all the nonsense...well...nonsense.

Listen, you guys can throw out all the stats you want. Here’s reality for me.

Wedding event in late September - I didn’t attend but family members who were in the wedding did. Symptoms start showing for them days later, just as my wife was visiting them. Here comes COVID positives.

Followed up with 25 of the 150 who attended the wedding. All 25 had COVID.

Of course, my wife got it, then me, and within another week all of us (my sons, daughter-in-laws, granddaughters, and my sons’ in-laws).

Three persons hospitalized for at least four days each. One uncle passed away, 64 years old. JNReturns, I don’t believe for one minute “he would’ve passed away this year anyway”.

Bride and Groom realized in the middle of their honeymoon they had it. And of course had already been around a lot of people they didn’t know at that point.

Stats? Whatever. Facts - hard to overlook unexpected deaths and hospitalizations (and hospital bills and loss of work and worry from loved ones and suffering by those who got it).

I’m still coughing a month later (tested positive October 5). I’m a mask proponent, but wasn’t wearing one at home when it was just my wife and I. But wonder how things might hav me been different if the wedding required masks?

VERY well stated and written. Sorry to hear about the loss and difficulties from the wedding. Im hoping your positive test only results in a mild case of COVID.

And there's the horrible part of this thing. And your 64 yr old uncle passing away is that. It's awful. And he very well could be in the 30% grouping. But throwing out stats can't be replaced by human emotion. It's brutal, but it's also life...I'm like you, I wear the mask. I also question the effectiveness of it. But whatever. If it allows us to continue on, so be it at this point. There will soon be a day I can burn the damned thing and never wear it again...I hacked for a month after my first ever fight with influenza A. Upper respiratory viral infections are NASTY. I don't think anyone with half a brain would think otherwise. But the reason for statistics is to show this thing isn't really worth disrupting the lives of so many, especially kids and schools.

I tested positive a month ago. Had a low grade fever for four days. No sore throat, no sinus infection. I have had at least 10 colds and flus worse than this in the past ten years. Whole family got it. Youngest two, no symptoms, but couldn't smell or taste for three days. Oldest one felt crappy for two days, no fever. Wife had fever for two days. Felt crappy for ten.

And what does the doctor prescribe for this deadly virus? They told me to take aspirin and stay home for ten days. Wow...that shoud tell you somthing. Unless my doctor is incompetent or negligent. I was expecting batteries of medicine. But no. GO home. Drink water and take aspirin.

Never went anywhere public without a mask. Never went out to eat or a bar. Never stayed anywhere for very long where people could be in proximity. Masks don't stop the virus...it is airborne. Social distancing does stop it. Impossible to do.

The average person dying is not dying from this cold. They are dying from the 2 to 4 comorbiities they have, and they are average age of 78.

Kearney's fault.
