I think this should be the official postseason COVID victims thread. Not the poorman's thread that @RawMeat made!
Who has fallen victim to COVID and had to cancel/forfeit their postseason games?
Edit to add teams with their record/seed:
Dropped before brackets were set:
Doniphan (1-6)
Parkview (0-6)
St. Joseph Christian (0-5)
St. Paul Lutheran (5-2)
Webster Groves (0-2)
Dropped after brackets were set:
Albany (4)
Cape Girardeau Central (4)
Gallatin (5)
Harrisburg (3)
Hollister (5)
LeBlond (5)
Lee’s Summit North (7)
Lutheran South (6)
Perryville (7)
Putnam County (8)
Rockhurst (4)
The ones the notified MSHSAA before they finalized the brackets were removed from the District. The ones the cancelled after stayed on the bracket and basically forfeit.I think MSHSAA goes in and takes them off of the website was they cancel the game.
yes, Slater is done, saw it posted on social mediaI have heard Slater, but someone needs to check that.
Hmmmm. Perhaps you are Honorary Doc Guy material...You’re right! I see hoops is keeping a running tab as teams check it in. I’ll delete mine as it’s overkill.
Doc Guy Election Day?Hmmmm. Perhaps you are Honorary Doc Guy material...
Oh now THATS brilliant!! The Doc Guys should host an election for all potential Honorary Doc Guys on the ACTUAL election day!Doc Guy Election Day?
I'm sure there will be some alleged voter fraud thoughOh now THATS brilliant!! The Doc Guys should host an election for all potential Honorary Doc Guys on the ACTUAL election day!

That is like being an Honorary pall bearer. Isnt anyone that attends a funeral more less an honorary pall bearerHmmmm. Perhaps you are Honorary Doc Guy material...

#MakeMoSportsGreatAgainNo, please.
No, please.
I say we have a Doc Guys election day!!#MakeMoSportsGreatAgain
Rockhurst doesn't really have a bad record? It's interesting that the only teams announcing positive cases right now are teams with bad records.....
Free beer at the pub and grub?Swing and a miss there buddy! Being an Honorary Doc Guy comes with plenty of fringe benefits!
Thank you, though I would say the three suburban schools that canceled Lee Summit North, Oak Park, and Rockhurst all had a shot at winning there game. I see the trend you are talking about, still better than when 8's would cancel against ones though.I edited my original post to not be so absolute, but c'mon.... Only one of the teams is a top-3 seed in their respective districts. Their average district seeding is 5/6 lol
I don't think it's fair to say that. I think the chances are much higher of good teams making even more conscious efforts to avoid Rona issues. I'm more talking about players than anything. If the kids are more willing to make the sacrifices of skipping parties on the weekends because they have a good team, that certainly helps. The kids on bad teams may not necessarily be willing to forgo other fun things. The best teams know how to win, and how to avoid COVID!
Work hard, listen to the coaches, study the playbook, and, under no circumstances do any of you go get tested!
Rockhurst could win that districtI edited my original post to not be so absolute, but c'mon.... Only one of the teams is a top-3 seed in their respective districts. Their average district seeding is 5/6 lol
I think the idea that its only up to the kids is silly Mom and Dad, brother, sister etcetera can bring it home to I think the idea that it is kids going to parties getting these teams sick is ridiculous odds are they got it at school or from homeI don't think it's fair to say that. Among many others!!Free beer at the pub and grub?
Agreed, and I don't think its just parties, but avoiding trips to the city (for the rural schools) and over all just being more careful. Obviously it can be brought home in a lot of ways, but to say that it's purely because the good teams aren't getting tested, which frankly isn't (entirely) true, isn't fair to the kids and families that are making super conscious efforts to prolong their season.I think the idea that its only up to the kids is silly Mom and Dad, brother, sister etcetera can bring it home to I think the idea that it is kids going to parties getting these teams sick is ridiculous odds are they got it at school or from home
Lolz. Come on, man. You can't be that clueless.I don't think it's fair to say that. I think the chances are much higher of good teams making even more conscious efforts to avoid Rona issues.
