Thanks we just have to keep playing hard and making shots.Reminds me of Meadville defeating TA in the 2014 sectionals 68-25.
Sometimes you just have something special.
Good luck at state.

Advance-Eminence and Worth County-North Andrew are both rematches of last year's Quarterfinals. With Walnut Grove winning, that makes 5 out of 8 teams repeating in the Elite 8. Walnut Grove is making their 4th straight Quarterfinal appearance.Lakeland might have a little something for walnut grove judging by that score.
Jamestown upset surprised me. So did the Advance game, having to win in overtime.
And looky there..Worth County is in the final 8. (Told you, pollsters). Worth County v. North andrew for the third time this year.
Not the same game as the last time GR beat them 70-67. The bad GR team showed up, no offense or defense. Shot free throws like a fourth grade girls team, just got outhustled, outplayed, outcoached, and beaten badly.Any insight into Green Ridge game?
How did Eminence guard Dora? How were they able to shut down Haney? The stat line for that Eminence/Dora game was crazy. The Haney kid only had 2 points leading into the 4th, ended up with 14. Dora triangle-and-two'd McBride and Drake, and the Dyer kid goes off for 30. What a game.
Ancient Chinese secret.
The Keeling kid face-guarded Haney all night. They focused on closeouts and getting a hand up on shooters. They just did the little things right. Another crazy stat...Eminence didn't attempt a single three-pointer the entire night. How did Eminence guard Dora? How were they able to shut down Haney?
I knew Chamois won, but wanted to hear how it played out. Holding Jamestown to 36 points is quite a defensive effort. Jamestown was favored due to head to head, not records That's why they weren't favored or ranked higher Congrats to them.Chamois won. They play in a good conference. Record sometimes doesn't reflect quality of team

Anyone know how they will Match up with Slater?

1. It is hard to beat a good team three times in a year.
2. Jamestown's half court offense < Chamois' half court defense and Jamestown not as effective in the open court as usual.
3. Friend observed that Jamestown looked emotionally hung over from their narrow defeat of St. Elizabeth in district final and in fact probably got fortunate to win that game. Seemed satisfied just to be there and/or just assumed this game would be like previous two, usually a lethal assumption.
I don’t think Jamestown was ‘satisfied just to be there’ at all. They missed some shots and had some bad TOs at times. The one advantage I thought Chamois had was the fact they’d been on that stage the previous two years. Well, 3 of the 5 starters had anyways. Thought coach Burkett made some great adjustments in all aspects of the game from the offensive scheme to defensive assignments.
Got nothing but respect for coach Thomas and the JTown players. Especially Trenton Barbour, not gonna find a better young man than him. Humble, unselfish, and always smiling.

How many 3’s did they make against Advance the first time the two teams played? Also wonder how many 3’s Advance made against Eminence in that 1st game?Eminence didn't make a 3 and still won by double figures?!! That is a really cool stat! That Advance/Eminence game will be a flat slobber knocker and I can't wait to see who wins the SEMO quadrant out of those two great programs! Class 1 ball is really fun this year!!
I don't remember the exact totals, but I was at the game. Eminence hit very few, and Advance hit a ton, even when contested. They were lights out. Eminence normally lets the three ball fly, but they'd played Dora enough to know that inside was their strength. How many 3’s did they make against Advance the first time the two teams played? I was just curious I thought Advance must have had a great game that night for the score to be so lopsided. It should be a great game second time around for certain. Hard to scheme too much when everyone can shoot it. But Vermillion and Hood make them go. Hood does as much for them if not more than Vermillion. Just had a great motor and great defender.3 pt totals that game, about 3-10 for Eminence, and 10-30 for Advance. This is from notes so may not be entirely exact but gives an idea. Vermillion hit 5 of those but just about everyone in their rotation will shoot it.
it's on the coaches to provide the right records...not maxpreps. Often tournament games are left off of here. requires a school official to update the games/scores unless the opposing team does. That's why.Don't even have those records right, what a big fat joke this thing is;. LOL at these bozos.

Meadville was upset by 4 seed wellsville in district semifinalsSlater has a 17-12 record and still in this? I thought they were in same district as Meadville?
Teams like Slater are always weird. Playing with house money and 0 pressure. Everyone is probably saying Chamois "should" get this one and move onto the Final 4. This is a coaches worst nightmare! I remember about 8 or 9 years ago New Bloomfield made it to a Final 4 and had about 10 wins after getting through the entire playoffs! I personally am pulling for Chamois, I know the coach and those kids very well and they are all hardworking great people. The town has gone through some tough times over the last few years as well so they could use a feel good moment right now!Slater has a 17-12 record and still in this? Just a good ol’ mid mo guy lol! I know about that team as well! Kind of a team of legend for those who really care about local basketball. Both that team and this years Chamois team shows what can happen when you mix “togetherness” with some talent. Extraordinary things can happen for a group of young men!Hmmmm, who are you midmoguy? My brother plays for Chamois. Agree, after what happened recently the kids and that town could definitely use this to lift spirits.
Another team where record meant nothing was the Linn Final 4 team back in 97. I was a Sophomore there at the time. After the PG was in a bad accident mid season and the starting lineup had to be adjusted, things just started rolling. Will never forget Mike finally making it back to a game. The district championship....Halo and all. Those guys rallied around that. It was a crazy game where they thumped a very good Vienna team who’d beat them earlier that year. Goodwin hasn’t stopped working his magic either, still doing great things at Sacred Heart.

By the way putting the puzzle pieces together I think I figured out who you are lol... let the mind games begin! Go Pirates and wish Aarron good luck for me
Walnut Grove 87 Lakeland 66
Walnut Grove will make there 3rd consecutive trip to the Final 4 looking to defend there state championship from a year ago. Great game today by the Tigers!!!!!
Congratulations. Your coach is a class guy. Good luck in the final 4. I'm going to tell you now that I think Eminence is rolling and will provide all you want in the way of competition.
