PAYBACK WEEK FOR COMETS

I think Adrian wins this one. Maybe not quite double digits but in that ballpark. Adrian's run defense is legit! ( Last week held Ash Grove to -13 rushing yards) #77 and #53 will take a double team to avoid them from being in the backfield almost every play. The linebackers are nothing to sleep on as they are flying around and plugging those inside runs.

Adrian's RB is a work horse rarely being tackled on first contact. The QB has an arm and can hurt you with his legs.

Where Adrian does lack is on pass defense, QB trying to extend plays and make silly mistakes, and silly penalties that kills drives.

Should be a good game!
I remember somebody saying it was going to be a long night for their running game.

Curious, what is the best game to pay for this Friday and Saturday?

I’m planning to watch Platte County at Webb City in person Friday and deciding between Pembroke Hill at Lamar or Seneca at Mount Vernon Saturday afternoon … son wants to go to Pittsburg for Harding University at Pitt State for Division II playoff game.

I’ll wait and read everyone’s thoughts on the other games and perhaps purchase the online broadcast if any other games become instant classics.
Carefull with the Webb stream. It has been very subpar this year. Probably why the stadium has still been full from 3-6. I would pop on that Nixa game if you havent seen that great wall of pancakes with the little cherry on top running behind it. Defense will give up a lot. If a team can stop that run then they can take them down.

Northwest Missouri State University has announced that there will be a change in the leadership of the Bearcat football program.

Head Coach Rich Wright's contract will not be renewed effective Dec. 31. Wright completed his eighth season at the helm of the Bearcat program on Saturday with a 23-7 loss to Pittsburg State. The Bearcats posted a mark of 6-5 overall and were 6-4 in MIAA play.

Wright served as a member of the Bearcat football coaching staff for 21 seasons. He coached in eight NCAA Div. II national championship games and helped the Bearcats secure national titles in 2009, 2013, 2015 and 2016. Wright is the winningest active MIAA coach with an overall mark of 65-22 (.747). He ranks No. 9 in winning percentage among NCAA Div. II head coaches with five or more years of experience.

Director of Athletics Dr. Andy Peterson said a national search will begin for the next head football coach for the Bearcats.

Co-Defensive Coordinator/Linebackers Coach Chad Bostwick has agreed to serve as the interim head coach until a new head coach is selected.

Skip them and head over to Marionville. If was headed down I'd stop in CJ and pick you up.

For the 2025 class, obviously a lot of players from Cardinal Ritter. Not a complete shocker, but it does show how imbalanced the amount of talent is. Private schools have 14 of the top 21 players still left in the playoffs, so 66% even though they only represent 7 of the 48 of the schools (14%).

2026 Class
1) Jackson Cantwell, Nixa, OT, 6'7.5" - 300 lbs, 5 star recruit with offers from everywhere but he is currently undecided with no schools labeled ahead of the others.
2) Titan Davis, De Smet, DL, 6'5" - 238 lbs, 4 star recruit with a current top 5 of Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa and Iowa State

4) Rocco Marriott, Platte County, QB, 6'3.5" - 203 lbs, 3 star recruit with current offers from Kent State and UNLV
5) Jack Utz, Platte County, TE, 6'4.5" - 215 lbs, 3 star recruit with Arkansas leading offers from Baylor, BYU, Illinois and Indiana
No Valle or St Vincent players ???

Each Classes game of the week?

I was thinking the same thing....maybe he means in this new conference cause otherwise it doesn't make sense!
Idk where he’s getting 10-0 from, there has been once in the last 10 years that they’ve had a 10-0 record and it was in 2018 when they went 12-1 and got bounced by Ladue in the first round(who also beat Webb the next week) on their way to a state title.
