Lots of changes here compared to last week. Fair Grove now being in the state championship and Lamar making it much further.

C5 D8 championship St. Pius X at Platte County TONIGHT!

Could see it either way. Carthage and Webb both like to control the clock on offense. Haven’t seen PC or Pius play but both have obviously had a good years. It will be tough for either Carthage or Webb to make the trip up to the KC area for a late November game. One of the coldest games I’ve been at was Carthage at Staley in 2017, the wind out of the north that day was absolutely brutal.
I was there yes those visitor stands can be very brutal as was this game but be assured Staley will never field a team like that again.

that's actually where i think the mismatch comes into play the most. Webb struggled with GV, you take away the drive killing false starts and the huge mistake by the officiating crew that stole all the momentum and gave WC a first down near the redzone that turned into a touchdown and that game probably has another ending. GV was a one-dimensional run only offense and that is what Webb and Carthage see down in SWMO is a healthy dose of Run. They have not seen the passing games to the level they will verse either of the D8 teams.
Both JR QBs look college ready today frankly.

Since Webb would have only had one home game (PC and Pius would both have 2 home games)

Would the qtr final not be at Webb??

I don't think so, neither of the D8 teams are in the same level as PC or Pius

Day 1 Legislation

R14, what is your biggest fear/disappointment about 4 more years of Trump?

Really, just the sheer volume of stupidity/ignorance that will go unchecked. Or rather that it will be checked and promptly ignored. Or maybe rather that people who objectively have less mental capacity will parade about as if they are the intellectual equals of those who objectively have more mental capacity. But that happens anyway, regardless of who the party in power is. This is America, baby!

Same champion as last week with a couple of little differences in scores I believe. I will repost these each week with any changes.
Adrian won't get past Ash Grove. Turnover prone and too many silly penalties.

NCAA Sagarin Ratings

Read about the peace pipe rivalry on wiki. Didn't know about it. Each school had a group that would meet at halftime to share the pipe and the group from the winning school would keep the pipe until the next season. Ended around 75. Oklahoma let Missouri keep the pipe after ties because they so rarely won it. OU is 67-25-5 all time and MU hasn't won in Norman since 1966.

We have won two in a row, though.

If you are right Pius would host the Webb-Carthage winner. Where, oh where, will they put everyone? I know it won't happen but I'd consider talking to NKC about having that one there..................
I will be there, very early too as the stands will be packed, I'm not sure pius meets seating requirements but that won't matter as it is a private school and they get a pass by mshsaa lmao
