Updated Class 1 Playoff Predictions

I saw them in person this summer, they are a top 10 class 2 team, not the best at all, but they run the veer with Coach St. Clair very well. Speaking of Quality Wins, name one for Adrian? The close loss to Warsaw ia a high mark and yes could have been a win with the best player playing but calling out Bowling Green while looking at the off records of Adrian is hilarious. Adrian is excellent too, not a knock on them.
I have watched a couple of games BG was in. You can be impressed but I'm not. They play a bunch of bad teams then get smoked in the playoffs.

Rinse and repeat.

Adrian's best win is probably Holden? (Adrian put in the JV defense and offense in that game probably due to the cheap shots coming outta holden) If that program had some discipline they'd be really good!

Looking at 'records' is silly.
You know where the good football is.

Updated Class 1 Playoff Predictions

Unless St Vincent is injured, I think their rather convincing wins over Valle and Perryville although early are more impressive than any other class 1 victories. Valle destroyed Bowling Green, who is real impressive. I know it's comparing apple to oranges, and that is to take nothing away from anyone else. Also, how many of the St Vincent kids are sons and nephews of the really great St. Vincent teams of the late 90s and early 00s?
I was at the StV/V game and I'm not taking anything away from St. Vincents, but I'd have to go back a long way to see as many screwups that V had. Maybe forced?

Bowling Green has beaten zero quality teams.

Why didn't the Dems steal this election too?

When our tax rate on the rich was sky high, we were spending on infrastructure like mad men, and unions were at their peak, our middle class was strong and our economy was great. Rich people had plenty of wealth, but not obscene wealth.

It's almost like when the money is distributed more widely, rather than concentrated, that our economy thrives for everyone.

Why didn't the Dems steal this election too?

Why didn’t you address toots for his one pic of one chain as proof the economy is wonderful and better?

I was just using his tactics in his post right back at him. Then when called out he wants to flip script and go into a deep dive, it’s very entertaining no doubt.

And it truth I don’t disagree with all of his points. Trump did contribute with his Democratic spending and Biden piled on 10 fold.

But the truth is working class folks have less income to spend on luxury and leisure time activities. And chain restaurants who unlike independent restaurants can weather bad times better are even being affected.

Also I will point out that comparing inflation across economic systems and countries is a bit dubious. I didn’t find any of their baseline models on that site.

It isn't dubious when you are showing that the entire developed world is going through similar inflation. Guess what? I bet it would show something similar during Trump's first term: that every country in the developed world was improving economically before he was elected and the trend continued until the pandemic. We are currently on a steep downward trend with inflation (as is most of the rest of the developed world), so if it carries on through Trump's term, and it likely will, I can guarantee it will attributed to him and his policies in the minds of his followers. It is a political game.

HOLY CRAP

Lions are a loss for the Bills. 49ers have a chance to also win. Rams? No way they beat Buffalo. Let's break this down.

Chiefs WILL LOSE to the Bills. Chiefs 9-1, Bills 9-2 and have the tie breaker.

Chiefs - Panthers (win), Raiders (win), Chargers (win), Browns (win), Texans (loss), Steelers (LOSS), and Broncos (loss).
13-4
Bills - 49ers (win), Rams (win), Lions (loss), Patriots (win), Jets (win), and Patriots (win)
14-3.

Like I said, the 49ers do have a shot at winning. Putting the Bills at 13-4, the same as the Chiefs. Tie breaker goes to the Bills. HA!

BYE BYE NUMBER 1 SEED FOR THE CHIEFS!!

Updated Class 4 Playoff Predictions

There is another factor to watch in weeks to come: I am pretty sure Kearney has never trailed all season. This was nowhere near the case last year (were notorious for giving up the first TD of the game). I have stated for so many years now I prefer teams coming from "off the pace". You never know how kiddos will react to "uncharted water" especially if someone like LN puts them down more than one score at any point.
Different class but watch this factor Friday night in Platte City as well.

Updated Class 4 Playoff Predictions

Kearney defense is great (well documented of course). They could get into trouble at a few spots where they appear to lack top-end/catch-up speed, and probably some playing experience.

So far, they’ve been able to mitigate that with the strong front three, and great tackling from 4, 19, 23, and 46. I hear they are getting healthier at one of the corner spots, so that will help when they face faster teams down the stretch, or "top gun QB" like you say tophat (i.e. Warrensburg/Lutheran North).

Park Hills got a special boot prepared for Blue Springs South.

They’re going to be spending all offseason trying to get that out of ole Coach Wilmes backside
Uh, no. Park Hill has played well as of late but barring any injury from BSS, Park Hill has zero chance of making that game close. I hope to eat my words as an Alumni of PH but BSS is Bigger, Faster, and Older.

Updated Class 1 Playoff Predictions

I'm an Adrian guy. Not on the football staff but on the field every game. I have never seen an Ash Grove game and don't want to demean them. I'm speaking on a weekly observance of Adrian football. If teams are running teams they will have a long night against Adrian. And from what I've been told AG doesn't pass the ball much.

Adrian's only loss was to Warsaw on the final drive minus the Blackhawks (arguably) best all-around player. It's my firm belief Adrian wins that game if he's on the field. He's been back for several games and the guys have figured out their roles again.

It won't be an easy game. This district is a real gauntlet. But I think Adrian comes out on top. Part homer. But I'm also objective.
Why was the best all around player for Adrian out? Injury?

HOLY CRAP

Chiefs WILL lose on Sunday. Cutting their lead on Buffalo to ONE GAME and giving Buffalo the head-to-head tie breaker. Chiefs will be 9-1 and Bills 9-2. Now lets look at the remaining games for each team.

Chiefs - Panthers, Raiders, Chargers, Browns, Texans, Steelers, and Broncos.
Bills - 49ers, Rams, Lions, Patriots, Jets, and Patriots

Its safe to say the Bills have an easier remaining schedule than the Chiefs. BYE BYE number 1 seed for the Chiefs! HAHAHAH!!

You are right, working people do have less income to spend. We've been stuck that way since the 70's, adjusted for inflation. You know what hasn't been stuck? CEO pay. That is mostly Republican policy manifesting, though Bill Clinton certainly had a part in it. There is a reason that the economy was booming and expanding for everyone back when CEO pay wasn't 200 times what their workers make.

As I follow C1 so little did you, perchance, attend the Ash Grove-Marionville close game? Would love to hear from someone how that one went.
