ya it didn't look good at all. glad couple of you guys got to see Hannibal play but not aneyas tho
I thought we was in trouble when Hannibal got their second possession. They look really good marching down the field. I’m sure Aneyas will have an outstanding year next season.

As far as the Hannibal player getting injured, he was sandwiched by two Zizzers pretty hard. West Plains has a really aggressive defense. How was West Plains defense compared to other team’s defense you have played this year?

Helias and Troy was slightly more better defense than West Plains but couldn't tell since Aneyas play against both but not West Plains.

Interesting how things happen. WP was better last year but they make it further this year.
I’m not so sure WP isn’t better this year; I attribute their early season rockiness to a new coach AND the Ozark Conference as a whole was better this year 🤷🏻‍♂️

Any idea why?
i probably can explain it better. The first Guy who got mad was #24 dad. when they push #24 out in that sidelined tackled he was unhappy. #24 dad is a loud and Rowdy dude. The second guy who got mad was sitting right in front of me, when #1 on hannibal when out with the leg injury the guy thought it was dirty but it was a cramp. hannibal does have some rowdy fans sometimes!!!

You are seeing the impact of Coach Wyatt on this team. He has done a really good job. They are not better than last year. They are better coached than last year. They lose that game with last years staff coaching things. Hannibal has a really good team, it is a shame they did not get to play at full strength.

If Wyatt had the previous WP teams he very well may have won a state title.

Agreed 👍

Sorry but the Coach deal is nonsense…Perkins and Pitts are top notch. This years team isn’t anywhere close to as deep nor does it have as much too end talent. But as is always the case, your matchups matter. Things have finally lined up for WP to make a run. Instead of going against the St. champion in the quarterfinals every year, they got a depleted Hannibal squad. Not taking anything away from Wyatt or Dixon for that matter. They are good too but let’s not make comments about coaches when that’s not really going on.

I have been very complimentary of Perkins and Pitts both. They did a good job. In fact I even speculated earlier in the year that they were a better fit for this group than Wyatt. So let's not make this out to be coach bashing. But the fact remains that Wyatt has done a fantastic job with this group. They would not be in the semis with Perkins leading the way right now. Nothing against him, but Wyatt is just a better game coach. Perkins can motivate. Perkins can recruit kids. But Wyatt can coach the entire game. I am sorry if you don't agree with that, but it is what it is. And I think there are many Zizzer fans that see the same things and will agree with me.

You can have your opinion on who is the better in game coach. But to say that is why they are here is just plain ignoring the facts. This Hannibal squad is by far the easiest team they have faced in the quarterfinals and that is not debatable. Down Williams and then losing their RB midway through the 3rd was a deathblow. Perkins faced this Hannibal squad with Williams who single handed Lu won that game last year. The year before they faced Helias which was the State Champ. Go back further to Ary and they faced Ladue in the quarterfinal, which was the eventual state champ. To say that say that this is somehow due to masterful coaching is just silly .

Williams did not single handily win the game last year. He got quite a bit of help from some awful in game coaching decisions. Let's not forget that part. Zizzers should have won that game in spite of an all world performance.

the turning point of the game when Hannibal #33 got hurt. it look Nasty. he was our best player after aneyas.
I watched the game online last night just to see a few things I missed from standing at field level, #33 didn’t leave the game until maybe 2 min left in the 3rd Q
Up to that point WP had shut down Hannibal offense in the second half
And was up 22-14. Not saying he wouldn’t have made a difference, but at that point WP had outscored Hannibal 15-0 in the 3rd Q and the defense was dialed in.
It may have made it one TD closer, but that’s just speculation at this point.
He was a talented player for sure.
Fast, quick, shifty, athletic.

Some very bad officiating in this game. WP had linemen downfield several times and was only called once. The WRs were blocking downfield before the ball.was thrown or caught and never called. Hannibal WRs were getting tackled in routes, never called. There were several times that WP players were pushing/hitting late....called once on Miller after he got up after a big catch. That one was the least obvious of them all. On the other side, the fumble recovery by Hannibal on WP sideline was clearly out of bounds. Definitely officiating went WP direction. They played a good game, and had some help. If Williams played, Hannibal wins by at least 3 scores.

Well let’s not talk about all the blocks in the back and holdings that they missed on Hannibal then. 🤣🤣

The officiating was pretty rough both ways.

Saw Hannibal at a soccer tournament in Camdenton a few years ago. They were very rowdy there. At one point, I thought a fight was about to break out between soccer moms!
