West Plains 29 - Hannibal 14 (FINAL)

No agenda whatsoever. I wasn't meaning to badmouth anyone. I assume you are referring to the Ozark thread. I just stated what I was told by people close to that program. Based off what I was told and the results, I said what I said. Nothing personal against Dupee. It just didn't work out for him at Ozark for, most likely, various reasons. Not really defending anyone from Hannibal either. Again, going off what I've been told and what I see when I watch. It is what it is. The corners from Hannibal have been an issue for a while, not just when the current DB coach has been there. Like I said, he mainly works with safeties. Hannibal has had 3 All State safeties the last three years that he's been there, and maybe will have another this year with the Parker kid.
Your very first post on the board back in 15 when Ozark hired you were already bashing, I remember you were mad they didn't give an interview to a former player who was on staff.

ok and? It didn't work out with Dupee did it? So, was I wrong? Again, I felt there was better options at that point, and, I guess, now too.

Hannibal actually has a very good DB coach. From what I know he played in college. I believe he works mainly with the safeties, but oversees the coverage. High school DBs, especially corners, have a tendency to look at the QB instead of their man. I've seen Hannibal's corners do that quite a bit. I doubt very seriously if they are being taught to do that. I think the problem with Hannibal is, mainly in their conference games, they are just better than the WRs they are playing, and they try to get by on athletic ability. Once they play better competition, they haven't been playing with technique, and get beat by good WRs. Also. like what happend in the WP game, Hannibal's DL got little to no pressure. Their DL is pretty good against the run, but they have no real pass rush threat from the DL. They've had to rely on bringing LBs to get pressure all year.
if he's a new coach i didn't know i though it was either Noland or Nicholas?. The DB did improve after during the troy game. Haden was the biggest improvement during the year on both sides of the ball, me and haden dad wish haden had another year. I can tell already DB coaches have to work culp in. they're were some blown coverage after he replaced Humphrey's friday night.

From what I hear, Hoskins is the DB coach, primarily the safeties, and oversees coverages. This was his fourth season at Hannibal. He came in with Hamner. I think Gshwender worked with corners most of the time this year since the guy who had been coaching them moved.
They lose 3 senior DBs, Parker at safety and Humphrey and Robertson at corners. WIth Aneyas coming back, looks like Daughtery should step in somewhere.

Yeah supposedly the Hoskins kid and Washington kid were killing it. Both of those have older brothers on the team. Washington is the junior center, huge kid about 6'3 330. The older Hoskins is a freshman, is about 6'4 235 TE/DE. There are also some other current freshmen from what I hear that has people excited about the future. Another Worthington, who injured his knee, but looked really good early on. There's a LB in waiting too that they are hoping takes Watt's spot.
