If Eureka beats Marquette this Friday you won't be worrying about them being ranked anymore.

I got Marquette winning in a very close game, but won't be surprised if Eureka pulls it off like last year. Should be a defensive showcase unless if Eureka can wear down the Mustangs defense in the second half. That's how they beat Fort Zumwalt West and Kirkwood. Eureka has a good defense, but have been taken apart enough times for their offense to win the games. Marquette's got a couple quality receivers along with their 3-year starting quarterback to rattle off big plays if the running game can't get going. It's been a disappointing start to the season for Marquette's offense who put up a lot of points last year and returned plenty of key players.

I also think Rockwood Summit should be ranked in Class 4.

So far they've given up 16 points and 370 total yards in three games. They have one of the best defensive ends and linebackers in the St. Louis area in Dominic Bentrup (all-time Summit sacks leaders) and 4-year starter Dominic Nenninger. The problem for Summit is their strength of schedule isn't the best, but it was worse last year and they won a tough district championship in Class 5. I think the Falcons are just as good this year. They have two big games coming up against Parkway North and Lindbergh who are both undefeated. I think they win both games and win out.

There’s only so many STL schools that can be in consideration for bigger classes and rankings. Unless it’s an ungodly recruited already ranked high schools, they won’t make it out of their districts. (well most of them) Everyone knocks each other out. And the rest of the state is always in contention besides in class 6. Idk what to tell ya brother.

Hannibal had two interceptions in the red zone. One was in the end zone where Hannibal's QB threw into literally triple coverage to Williams. Bad decision, not necessarily a great play by Smithville. Big plays early killed Hannibal, and Smithville's ability to be able to get just enough to keep the chains moving on that 4th quarter drive was huge. Again, I said Smithville was the better team, especially upfront. Their OL/DL played great.

They blanked the river rats, yes Smithville was way better. Hannibal wasn't beating Smithville, 10 out of 10 times

first off Hannibal and Webb City has the best rushing attack. second how does a team get ranked because of a RB. rankings is based off game game performance and 3 Nevada is ranked 13th maxpreps and 14 Calpreps C4 rankings!!!

First off. Webb City isn't in class 4. Neither is Carthage. So how can they have a better class 4 rushing attack. Quit looking for crap to start drama.

Monroe City is not number 1. They have South Shelby this week and then Centralia. Also they finish with Macon and Clark County. Hopefully they stay healthy for the play-offs. The 4 districts are pretty evenly matched up top of each that they will have to face to make it back to the finals.

Monroe City may not be deserving of being #1 (I think East Buch is the #1 team in Class 1). But, they did go 3-0 against South Shelby, Macon, and Centralia outscoring them 106-24 and will likey turbo clock Clark to end the regular season.

Monroe City has had Bowling Greens number for a while but Bowling Green would be a 2-3 TD favorite in my opinion. Bowling Green is very very good this year.

I agree. I don't think it would be that much of a favorite though. Bowling Green has not been challenged at all this year and honestly we really can't get a good full value on how good they are until they seen some sort of adversity.

Exactly that was the issue last year. I think LC wouldn’t have finished as well against them if they had faced something, ANYTHING all last season. Maybe they can carry from that game into districts and beyond this year. But who knows.

I believe myself they would win by 2-3 TDs myself against MC. That’s even before playing a tough state game as well. Let’s just say this. It would be one of the most impressive state runs for a first time state winner (I guess they could’ve won before I’m not sure.) in recent memory.
