I thought Webb was disorganized and had every chance they needed. Onside kick call wasn’t the game, but 45 yds of penalties in a minutes time was pathetic. Republic moved the ball forth qrt well and Webb did not. Hats off to Republic. Also hats off to the new head coach for taking this team to semi-finals. Never thought they’d get this far with the start they got and with a new head coach. Republic was the better team today and I hope they upset Ritter for their 1st State Championship!
Republic will be an issue for Webb going forward. They have good teams all of the way thru 7th grade.

Webbies are in full meltdown mode on Facebook. I didn't watch the game, but even if it happened the way they say, it's payback for the gift they were given 2 years ago. No sympathy here.

If Webb City lost this game on a botched ref call I could understand the tantrums. However, Webb City had the ball on the 19-yard-line under 2-minutes and threw an INT on third down following a Republic fumble that pretty much sealed the win for the Cardinals, particularly if they kick a field goal on 4th down. I don't see how Webb City fans can cry about the onside kick when you had destiny in your hands and threw the win away. That's not Republic's fault. Just the way shit happens in a football game.

Great game. I don’t think there is much separating the two teams. Republic played a cleaner game this afternoon. Congrats to them. This Webbie, and the rest of the self respecting Webbies are not crying about anything.
Webb made a few costly mistakes and lost to a really good team . I think either of these teams loose to cr but maybe republic can put together an 11 min drive like they did against Webb to start that game . First republic semifial in 37 years . First state championship appearance ever . Hats off .
Not sure what your problem is with coach McFarland but Webb didnt get outcoached .they just got beat by a similarity talented team

The refs could have just kicked a field goal on fourth down to win the game instead of throwing the ball up for grabs. But nooo they had to throw the game.

I could not see who touched the ball first, BUT the official closest to the play thew a flag on Republic for illegal touching and signaled Webb ball. Republic coach was arguing and after a long discussion they changed the call to Republic ball because Webb kid touched it first
I don't have a problem if officials discuss a play and change a call to get it right. Webb made too many mistakes and got outplayed today.

No republic eventually fumbled but it kept the ball away from Webb citys offense, probably rattled and frustrated them too and ran more time off the clock.

Love that scenario too. If anyone cant appreciate what that small catholic school continues to do then they are just biased. There are two towns, Ste Gen and washington that put out good athletes. We should be thankful that there is a private school in each rural town, because if there wasnt their public school would be a pretty dominant sports program in class 3 for ste gen and Washington class 5 probably
