You wouldnt agree about both towns being dominant in multiple of girls and boys sports if there wasnt a catholic school in those towns?

Didn’t quite go as I expected but I’m certainly not surprised because Webb has played a bit up and down all season and today just happened to turn out a bit more on the down side.
I’m not a big fan of these kind of games where the possessions are so limited. I’ve never been a fan of 12-minute quarters because of games that play out like this. I would have loved to have seen how this one would have played out with each team getting a few more drives but it is what it is.
I enjoyed watching Webb City this season. They were really a team without any solid expectations and they had to really work hard in every game. It’s a little unfortunate that this group of offensive skill players weren’t part of a more experienced team because ultimately they just couldn’t get them the ball enough in positions to fully exploit their speed. This team has plenty to be proud of this season and plenty to try and improve on for next season.
Credit Republic for their play. They effectively used their size and strength to limit the Cardinals to 20-points, a pretty solid feat. I expect this matchup to become a rivalry going forward. If republic can utilize this kind of effort to upset Cardinal Ritter, that would be a very impressive feat indeed but win or lose they have accomplished a lot just getting there. Good luck and safe travel.

Johnson and Slade Hurd were both sophomores . Their #1 wr was a junior. Most of their secondary are juniors . They have some good skill coming back . Will just have to find a line
Probably has a kid that doesnt play and is angry that coach mac doesnt play daddy ball like rod did the last 5 years. Poor thing.
Annoying post about future but thats all we got. Lol. Return 6 starters on offense and 6 on defense but 4 more played a lot w/o starting. There is a really good core but soph will have to be a good class. Good thing is rep was nearly all multi year starters so they may need a carthage year to get back at it. Now that i have said all that.... here come all the homers.
I would assume Republic will take a step back just because they were so heavy on seniors, but their JV only lost to Nixa and freshman only lost to Nixa and Carthage so it appears they aren't going anywhere for awhile.

Confused. I don’t know the inner circles at Webb, I’ll admit that right up front, but never heard of Coach Rod playing favorites. I do know he made his own son sit the bench until his senior year, and he was a very talented young man. I’ll throw shade on some of their fans and be honest about their performance but I don’t think Rod wins 13 titles playing politics.
2 state championships in his last 5 years playing "daddy ball?" Sign me up for that version of "daddy ball" then, I guess.
Gabe is going to cover a lot of deficiencies the next 2 years and due to injuries this year they have 3 RBs with a lot of experience coming back. I don’t see any step backs next year.
That is similar to what I heard from a couple of my WC friends. They see the next few years as gradual improvements vs this year.
JV and FR don't tell the whole story but based on those it looks like Nixa, Republic, Carthage and WC will be 'the' teams for the next couple years. Joplin appears to be at the end of a good run. Their JV was just below .500 and the FR lost every game but one. Not sure where the newcomers to the conference will fit in but I assume Lebanon and Kickapoo will compete in the east.
