Not sure how Webb keeps doing this. I mean they lost to Kickapoo and Ozark in the middle of the season! I know they had some injuries but even the guys playing have looked like a totally different team than I saw against Ozark. They were BAD and left for dead, now they are in the Quarterfinals. They will probably get beat bad this week, but hats off to them. Crazy
Rugular season is just practice now. All about clicking and finding the right guys to do that.
Goes to show why you never write a top program off. We all think PC will prevail big time Friday but this team's core is JRs so who knows they may have left it all on the field vs. long ago rival Pius who was beyond the real deal.
One thing that IS certain is the atmosphere down that way because I know the Pirates are gonna bring pretty much the whole town and surrounding areas to Webb. I would do that drive down but can't get off work early enough.

When I was in charge of the steel mill, I ALWAYS dismissed employees early on Friday during football season. Wasn't mandatory but employees liked having the option. It was good for morale.

honestly it’s been fun this year,,kids kept their heads up and never quit . I just hope they don’t let Gabe play basketball this winter. If he can get that knee back healthy Webb could be decent come next August

GV will depend on the transfer portal.... I mean the development of sophmore QB. RB is loaded not as much as last 2 years to start but I got my eye on a junior to pair with the #2 back from this year. D should improve as well.
They are still not as good as PC or PIUS in my opinion

As far as FO a duo like peppers and Thompson is hard to replace however they have been good for years and i won't count em out
I have a feeling that coaching changes are going to be numerous in KC.
Last year was bananas, too. The rumor mill here there and everywhere was hilarious.
People were saying this team was short on talent. They were never short on talent their talent was short on experience or not in the right place.
They have a lot of skilled kids and a lot of skilled coaches and a somewhat unique system that everyone knows. What they are able to do that most other programs cannot do is move kids around, give the next kid up a shot. If someone isn’t working out they have options. Most programs don’t have the depth to do that and make a meaningful difference, the team is either good or it’s not.
As an example I’m told that most programs hope to have one good QB roughly every other class of kids. There is a group coming up in Webb that has 3 good QBs in just one class. So when that group is varsity add those with other classes and they could potentially be down to the 4th string qb and still have better qb than many of their opponents. I’ve heard similar things about RBs.
