Class 4 or better population
With 2 high schools in the same C4 county?

Maybe you should pay closer attention to the surnames on the roster. You'll see the same family names year after year, so your "recruiting" excuse is losing its effect every year, Veer. Try coming up with another excuse why Valle always wins.

Same surnames on both rosters...at least when sg was winning.
Now youre getting all the good players.
Now youre gonna tick off bigger schools and some real change will be made.

First of all, it’s not my school.

But still, you have 2 schools in the county and the one with a minuscule student population is still competitive regardless of what the “bigger schools” do to bring them down. I love rooting for the little guy.

duh.....Valle had 300 or so kids when I was there and some folks say they were once up to 400. Now Valle has 150 kids. Where in the heck do you think the kids of families who did not choose Valle for their kids went to school? Of course many surnames are the same at both schools. I had cousins at SG when I was there. BUT that does not prevent Valle's roster from having the same names on their rosters for years.
Valle has made a lot of infrastructure upgrades, and now they need to loosen the purse strings on tuition to help people on the fence make the decision to choose Valle.....And I am not saying anything negative about SG. SG is a fine public school and in time they are expected to improve their football program.
Haters are going to hate regardless.

Name another county the size of Ste Gen that has 2 class 3 schools in it! Vallie gets the students they get, same goes for the public school, nobody recruits in Ste Gen. If Valle got all the good athletes, Ste Gen wouldn't beat them in basketball, track, softball, and volleyball consistently like they do. Valey plays better football, mostly because of coaching. You have heard all the excuses why they win, Valley likes to say they work harder, the same as other successful programs do, like BO, Webb, and Lamar to name a few.

I think it'd be cool to see one of these super successful private school coaches move to a small public school and replicate that dominance.

Has it ever happened?

Okay... drum roll, please... Coach Paul Day at Pacific. Wait for it...

No, really... WAIT for it. Given time, he will develop a competitive team there, after he has had time to upgrade workout facilities and the culture. Then you'll see it happen... but you'll need to wait.

Actually SG is class 3 population wise and Vallie is small class 1 population wise. I spelled it Vallie so you would know who I was talking about:)
Adding the 2 schools population together they would probably be a small class 4 school depending on how MSHSAA decided to punish privates with the Valle rule!

SG is more than just a “fine” public school. SG was one of the highest rated public districts in the state last year and that’s not the sub section of being considered rural. It’s a great school for academics and has proven to over prepare kids for the “real world” or college. (Don’t blame my teachers for lack of interest in grammar and the English language). Sorry just wanted to further show my pride as a former student and teacher at our great school.

Great win for Valle Friday, mighty impressive.

They're the same population as Harrisonville.

Does Harrisonville have 2 class schools in it? Answer the question, is there another county the size of Ste. Gen that has 2 class schools in it?

To answer your question, I don't know. But I do know that some coaches were not successful at Valle....going way back Calacci was successful, Meiborg not, Thomure successful, not sure who right after him but in the late 80's Benson et al successful until John Bacon left in 1996. Not sure again but Valle was not successful until Judd took over and it took several years to right the ship.

Not sure how accurate that post is, Vallegrad. Valle had a pretty good run in the '80s and '90s.

Valle's greatest advantage is a result of their dedication to the weight room. They get 100% commitment from their kids, and just as important, from their parents making sure their kids get to weight lifting every day all summer long. Their 190-210 lb linemen are more often than not stronger than their 230-250 lb opponents. Add proper blocking and tackling technique to their strength and they can handle much bigger teams.

One other thing that works in Valle's favor - they blowout all conference opponents in the 2nd half of the regular season, and get to rest their starters, thus lowering chances of injuries and go into the playoffs healthy. Just as important, because of the blowouts, their freshmen and sophomores get valuable varsity experience against the opponents varsity starters. By the time their 2nd and 3rd stringers move up to 1st string, and they are already experienced varsity players,

That's how you build a successful program year after year.
