Home of the Cubs!!
Are you wearing one when out all the time, have you occasionally wore one, or are you wearing one when only in large crowds?

I wore one the other day for the first time when I went to Joplin to the home depot, I carry one with me but did not have it on but when I got in the store I was like holy crap the store was shoulder to shoulder down many of isles. Did I feel safer? I don't know, but I do catch myself holding my breath sometimes when I have to walk by somebody really close LOL, and then I almost find myself breathing harder once the pass trying to catch my breath and I think well that really doesn't work...LOL.
It is just hard for me to understand what changed... two months ago they were saying they did no good and in fact recommended not wearing one because they could do more harm...and really nothing that we know about Covid 19 has changed in those two months, but now they recommend it. So why the change? Maybe to make us feel safer, because if they really are safer why did they not recommend from the start?

I have several times. To Lowes--where literally no one else was wearing a mask and they were standing two feet from each other talking and laughing. To a paint store--where everyone had on masks. To Wal-Mart--where a lot of women were wearing masks but most of the men were too tough-guy. And a few other locations.

I don't wear one when riding my bike or walking at the state park because I never go near anyone. I have cut wood with some guys three different days and none of us wore masks outside.

They are really to protect others, not you. A doctor said yesterday that they haven't really tested their effectiveness for Covid-19, but for Flu the masks will reduce the spread by over 50%.

One thing I have noticed is when I wear one, I get hotter than hell. I guess I have so much hot air blowing back in my face its like a steam bath......

I see really more than I thought I would wearing them. And really it depends on how busy the stores are. They busier the store the more people are wearing. I feel more comfortable when not in large crowds.

Not sure about all areas but in ours I have noticed that the older generation seems to be having more trouble with some of the new rules, they are the ones going down the isle the wrong way, they are the ones that won't keep 6 foot when in line. Well and we also have a large Hispanic population in our town and I don't even know if they have a clue as to what is going on at times.

The temps are heating up, hopefully it will put the whammy on the virus like some people say.

HD here has someone with a counter at the door when you go in, when you come out a kid at that door lets him know how many left. I guess they can't control which aisle people walk in.
