Yea they pushed out the pines also. Go to Macon Activities on twitter you can see it.

Capital City (Jeff City) JV this year Varsity next year, have about 45 kids out.

Why don't they like the new system? Any specific reason besides it might put LN in class 3?

They think Lamar, Lathrop, Stratford, and all SW Mo schools complained to get this balance struck. I'm not sure why they mentioned two of those schools? Two of them haven't faced a private STL school.

Card's went by Macon's field. Man it looks a lot different around there. There are more pics on the website I gave you.

That’s interesting, because I just went on the STLToday forum and didn’t see any private school fans crying about the success multiplier being unfair OR that they were upset at the prospect of moving up a Class or 2. Which makes sense, considering Lutheran North’s AD was one of the two leaders of the committee that drew up the proposal. Running from larger schools doesn’t vibe with the conference schedule they play (all Class 3 and 4 teams) or their OOC schedule (IL Class 7 and 8 teams).

If the change WAS a bone to satisfy small publ C schools, it will actually drop MORE private schools into Class 2 and 3, because they’ll only get bumped up if they’ve been going deep into the post-season 5-6 years. With the ability to recruit, it doesn’t take long for privates to get talent FAST. It looks like “Veer” tried to sell the story over there that Trinity, Ritter and LN are upset because he’s kinda obsessed with those schools. No one really took the bait ... which is surprising.

This doesn't start till next year. Then we will see if people complain or not.

That’s true. I think there’ll be a lot of angry small public school fans when the dust settles. I don’t see how having more private schools in Class 2 and 3 satisfies their desire to drive private school up in classification. Does anyone really think the majority of Class 3 teams will pose more of a challenge to Trinity, Ritter and North than the majority of Class 2 schools have? Other than the top 2-3 teams? Lamar, Blair Oaks, Monett and 1 or 2 others? Most Class 3 teams aren’t much deeper than the Class 2 ones. Class 4 though? THAT’S where all 3 of those schools SHOULD be.

I don't know how it will turn out. But it goes back 6 years so Valle will be more than likely class 2 and could possibly be 3. They can move you up 2 classes. If Trinity would win class 3 this year they would go to class 4 more than likely. LN may go to 3 especially if they win it this year. Ritter I don't know if they will move or not. It goes by district wins, quarter final and state championships. Points will be given for each and how many points you have will determine what class your in. Gonna be interesting and with the 2.0 ratio starting. May be fewer classes also or more.

It’ll depend (obviously) on how many points are assigned for district/sectional/quarter/semi/championship wins. Ritter’s only gotten to State once (I think) which was last year and got to the semis vs Malden 5-6 years ago. Trinity got to State twice and won once, but hadn’t gotten out of Districts any other time the last 6 years. North has the most post-season wins of them all, but will probably be Class 1 without any current multiplier. Which’d put them in Class 3 at best. Every other current Class 4, 3 and 2 STL Area private school (other than MICDS) is probably going to drop down a Class. It’ll be a lot of fun to see what happens. It seems to be getting more attention than THIS year’s season, so far.

Yes it will. Obviously district shouldn't be much for points. But winning I bet will be a lot. I'm not sure they have even voted on the points yet.

Whatever you say. Your peculiar choice of phrasing on both forums gives you away though. There’s no law against posting on different forums online, even if you use different anonymous identities. Just thought you should know that. Lol

Some years yes but most years no. Just look at Lutheran North. All the talent in the world but when the playoffs come around they’ll either be outworked and outcoached like last year or the weather will be cold and rainy and their kids will puss out like the year before that.
