T-minus 2 weeks to Classification Friday

Some years yes but most years no. Just look at Lutheran North. All the talent in the world but when the playoffs come around they’ll either be outworked and outcoached like last year or the weather will be cold and rainy and their kids will puss out like the year before that.

That’s a pretty harsh assessment from an adult about a bunch of kids. Having been at their game vs Lamar, it didn’t look like any kids on either team pussed out and against Blair Oaks they got destroyed by one of the best high school RPO teams Missouri has ever seen. Since Lamar get worked by Cassville and shit canned in the Semis last year on optimal football weather days, it’s pretty obvious they got outworked, outcoached and pussed out TWICE and didn’t even win their own conference. At least their players can still find work at Walmart or Dairy Queen tho, rite? You’ll ALWAYS have a reason to bitch and moan because you wish your kids had the opportunities other teams’ kids do. At least you have plenty of company being jealous down there. Good luck with that. At least you’ll still get to enjoy watching Trinity, Ritter and Lutheran North kids playing college ball on Saturdays.

Whatever you say. Your peculiar choice of phrasing on both forums gives you away though. There’s no law against posting on different forums online, even if you use different anonymous identities. Just thought you should know that. Lol
Ok blondiee

Not sure who you root for? But most of those STL kids will end up working at Walmart or DQ or a simple 9 to 5 job. That city seems to just have that tendency. Just being realistic. Just a thought. Lamar won 7 championships in 10 years. Couldn’t be happier for them. Wish my city could accomplish that. Will any STL team besides CBC ever do that? SWMO still dominates football. Sorry man.

STL teams more often then not fold like lawn chairs in big games. That’s the chip on his shoulder. What’s even worse then that? They get to openly recruit any player in that gigantic city. Pathetic if you ask me.

Card's went by Macon's field. Man it looks a lot different around there. There are more pics on the website I gave you.

Looks like the East end zone trees were left standing. Perhaps they will replant trees where they used to be.

If not, I would have liked to see them take the track over to one of the practice fields and move everything closer to the grandstand and put in visitor's seating on the other side. That track wasn't too old they are replacing unless they are going to lay it back down.

I am lost on your point about what those kids end up doing? Do kids from Lamar or Webb end up better in life because they won so many championships? Is working a 9-5 shitty? What exactly are you saying?

I don’t know about you, but my life’s accomplishments didn’t peak in high school. State Championships are a tremendous achievement and players and fans SHOULD be proud, but what does it say that even with those 7 straight championships some fans feel the need to shit on teams they’ve dominated, because their players achieve goals those championship players didn’t?

It’s also strange that fans of the teams that HAVEN’T won 7 straight are quick to dick ride the accomplishments of the 2 that did. It only takes a quick look at Twitter to see how many of those kids wish they could play in college, like the kids you want to cry about.

Wow. You two yell and bicker more than Coach Nickerson and Stef, after losing the big game! Heck, this is worse than Coach Kilmer and Jonathan Moxon!

Not sure how Lamar became the poster child for this thread but few people in Lamar have an issue with LN or coach Reed. They have been great hosts to Lamar a couple times and played the games hard and with good sportsmanship. Trinity is still a bad word in some areas of Lamar but I think the reasons behind that were well hashed out on here a couple years ago.

Not a Lamar fan? Just calling out your stupidity. Also, your achievements definitely maxed out in HS.

Blair Oaks will be a team that gets better as the year goes on since they just reload. Conference wise they got 2 games there in the beginning that they could get upset - Boonville is probably the most talented and Versailles has the best QB. But more than likely another conference title going to Wardsville.
Week 2 non conference Versailles QB could meet his match.

When Capital City goes varsity, what class will it be?
My guesstimate would be either 3 or 4. I am kinda bracing for one week from Friday.............Lord knows how class/district assignments end up looking this year then 2020 comes with the whole achievement move up etc. stuff. All these 8-man transfers will play a big part, too.

I'm out of the loop. What are the 8-man transfers?

Okay next year school cannot start until the 24th. How is the new law going to affect the classifications? Will they just get them out later in the year?

Not sure the start date will have any change in classifications... the counts are done the previous spring. I guess you could say that some wont know if they are going to have enough kids to field a team, but by the second week in August they should know.. The start date for competition is not changing, as far as I know

I don’t think school starting later will effect the start time of practices. I would imagine districts/classes will remain the second Friday. The later school start may have both positive and negative effects on participation on Missouri high school football teams.

Yeah I wasn't worried about the start times, I was just wondering if the later counts would change anything. However Sooner said they go by last years count.

Why is MSHSAA still disguising the enrollment numbers at this point like they've got something to hide? J. West's twitter account has also mysteriously disappeared over the weekend. Used to, they would post enrollment numbers in March and we would be left to our own devices to try and determine where the districts would lie.

WEMO: Appleton City, Drexel and Rich Hill. St. Joe Christian transferred out co-oping with Northland Christian in 11-man. Another development is the return of Sedalia Sacred Heart, who was in the 8-man FINAL just a couple of years ago then dropped suddenly in 2018, joining NW Hughesville. In SWMO Liberal went 8-man as well...........

I think that mshsaa has a certain date schools have to declare whether they are playing 11-man or 8-man. After that date mshsaa can set the different classes based on enrollment...

I understand that, but they still have not even posted the enrollment numbers at this point. Last year, they posted them in April or May and then they suddenly took them down with no notice. This year, they have not even posted them.

So Bishop LeBlond, Appleton City, Drexel, Rich Hill and Liberal are dropping to 8-man, Sacred Heart is co-oping with NW Hughesville for 8-man and SJ Christian is co-oping with Northland Christian in 11-man?

Do I have that right?

Wow.

Always thought it would have been better off in the KCI for football. To see it go 8-man is very surprising.
I heard they tried to get into the KCI but were not able to. I think it makes sense in all sports. They also tried to get into GRC in 1992.

This article in the Globe suggests Webb may be more likely than in past years to move up. I'll believe it when I see it, I've heard people saying this for years but it never happens because there are too many suburban schools dramatically outpacing Webb City in growth plus at the same time smaller schools are dropping football which reduces the number of slots to fill in Class 5 catch all. So the bar keeps going up.

If that were to happen I can't really think of any other classification change that would have more ripples. CJ fans will be saying why couldn't this have happened just a few years earlier.

As a CJ fan I would be happy but sick lol. It is still good for the future as it looks like we will have a better talent rotation in a few years again.
