No, there's serious debate about that, especially when you consider the cultural context in which those passages were written.

If you are gonna talk about "serious" debate, you are gonna have to do better than a homosexual who can't stand what scripture says who thinks Paul didn't understand the serious committed relationship of homosexual couples. Paul said women should keep quiet because society (non christians) of that day wouldn't accept women having knowledge for men to hear. THAT is a cultural twist on scripture. Notice Paul didn't say it was a sin or that women couldn't get to heaven doing so, just that they shouldn't. If Paul was talking about "dirty old men" he wouldn't have specificly mentioned women exchanging the natural for relations with other women. The only thing in that video that is accurate is we should accept homosexuals (but not their behavior) like a drunk or adulterer or ANY other sinful person (which we all are).
You ignore the fact that scripture dissagrees with you as well as Biblical scholars.
My Nephew has 2 masters in Biblical studies and Biblical language. He is working on his doctorate in Biblical studies. He also happened to be in for the 4th. I asked him if I was missing something in scripture to allow for acceptance of homosexuality. He said that there was much debate about how the Church should approach homosexuality but there was ZERO debate on whether homosexuality was a sin. He said the New Testament passages leave no ambiguity. He also has had many debates supporting the view that the cake maker or photographer should serve homosexual weddings and cellebrations. He is NOT a traditionalist in any way but only cares about what scripture actually says. He said he was aware of the views proposed in your video/article but said they were held only as a matter of opinion by people who want it to be so as opposed to "serious" students of the Bible.
Wow, 2 masters in religious studies = 60 hours of online classes from Phoenix University. Write a couple term papers, a couple book studies, and a couple other hoops to jump through does not make one a "master" at any subject. You can earn a masters nowadays and never step on a college campus. Master degrees are the biggest scam going in education. It's a money maker to give people a title.
The great thing about science and engineering is I don't have to believe what the teacher tells me because science is based off of observable fact.
So true many times. In the sciences it does help you, but many times in the humanities it just doesn't matter.

This is very true but his are from Oxford and Yale. Yhose are a wee bit above Phoenix on the reputation scale but I wouldn't be as quick to belittle Phoenix.
You are always touting education as everything important and then it bites you so it doesn't matter.

No, the languages aren't opinion. What was literally written isn't opinion. Most of the intent isn't opinion. Words in all languages actually mean things.
Paul actually said women should keep silent in church. The debate would be over why he said it. The nuances of the Greek language gives clues, culture of the time gives clues, etc. Why he said it is opinion but what he said isn't.

It's all interpretation. 10 people read the same verse and can get 10 different things out of of it.

If you are reading the same verse in the origional language, you might get 2 different things but usually only one.
And then YOU decide whether to live by that verse or not. YOU pick and choose and then YOU try to force your beliefs on others.
Whether YOU believe what the Bible says or not is up to YOU. Your beef isn't with me but with the Bible and God. If you don't like my opinions you will really struggle with his when face to face.
All i've done is correct false statements about what the Bible says. That is a conversation started by others (not exactly forcing).

If there is not several different interpretations of the Bible then why do we have so many different religions that have different beliefs on how to live and worship but all are Christians?
If you are talking about Christian branches, they are ONE religion, other religions aren't Christian.
Most of the different sects of christianity are due to points of emphasis in the faith. Another factor is worship style. Tradition is a big issue with some and more modern methods are important to others. Christians have different personalities like everyone else. Do you really think the different sects are from Biblical fissions?
Yes. Example: baptists don't allow women to be pastors while Methodists do. That's a fundamental difference in biblical interpretation. Heck, you probably couldn't write a list long enough for Catholics vs Protestants.
Are you saying there aren't any Baptist women preachers?
As I said different churches put more emphasis on different passages.
As i've stated before, Catholics are catholics. They have their own Bible, follow the teachings of the Pope over Christs teachings, and aren't protestants like all other Christians. Mormons too fit the same description as Catholics.
I would need a list of those "rules" to judge correctly (as scripture admonishes).
