Both Rogersville and Marshfield would beat Hillcrest this year... Rogersville would win big.
Have you seen Hillcrest play?
You think Rogersville or Marshfield could give Camdenton all they want for a half? Cause Hillcrest certainly did.

That would be my prediction.
I haven’t seen Parkview play, but I’ve seen enough of Hillcrest to know that their skill players match up with most other teams in Class 4(which is down overall in the ozarks at least) but their line is severely lacking.
I would be shocked if they didn’t beat Parkview by at least 2 TDs

You make it sound as if Rog would turbo Hillcrest and I really don’t see that happening.
I heard the contract between CJ and Seneca has already been signed but not sure if there is an out clause.

I believe there usally is and how can the school be at fault for the conference expanding, I think some AD's rushed to soon to fill open spots, this conference thing is still very fluid for a bit.
I think in a year or two there will be some Big 8 schools grumbling about expansion to 10 teams after they try to fill a few spots.
most of those contracts are worthless and schools are not going to hold each to it, so I am sure they can get out of it
For the life of me I do not get why Willard keeps getting tossed into this. This just seems like a lot of people making kind of dumb decisions for their entire athletics departments just to make one sport function better relative to the competition. Everybody wants to win football on friday nights so for those that don't seem able to up their game the remaining option is to lower the competition.
Carl Junction I kind of get. I was skeptical about them in the COC from day 1. They tried it, so kudos to them for that but it hasn't worked out great. But Neosho, Willard, even Branson. They are large well funded districts with nice facilities, no different than any of the other COC members.
Branson and CJ are tired of being at the bottom so they leave. That leaves Neosho at the bottom so they leave. Willard isn't at the bottom except maybe in football among the remaining schools - so they think now they need to leave.
Next we'll have Carthage and Joplin saying they don't want to be in this league because they aren't going win many contests in a lot of sports among the remaining members.

I think what might have changed is Parkview and Hillcrest leaving the OC, honestly.
I am just surprised Neosho cannot win, they have sunk just as much if not more money into their facilities as any other COC school. I thought their Freshmen were going to be really good, they were good in youth? but I guess now they are struggling.
As for Willard everybody wants the bragging rights of having those Willard funnel cakes in their conference.
If the OMC would have existed in 2016 CJ would never have joined the COC.

Willard's school board has COC discussion on the agenda for tonight board meeting. OMC wants to know by 12:00 on Friday whether there is intention to join or not. There are still a lot of moving parts to this whole situation and it's very difficult to keep up with.
Kickapoo/Glendale to the COC seems like a near certainty regardless of whether Willard/Neosho leave.
I have heard some serious discussion about adding Lebanon, Camdenton, Waynesville, and Rolla to OMC to get the league to potentially 14 teams and add in some bigger schools if Willard and Neosho are to join in. Would then break it into large/small divisions for football with 3 non-con or crossover dates. In all other sports it would just be one big 14 team league

The other sports need to be broken up by geography. I assume there won't be CJ/Neosho trips to Rolla for soccer.
Rog can’t turbo clock anyone, because they can’t hardly score. They lost their starting qb for the season in Second quarter of game 2. They had no other qb. They have had to put a running back at qb and just run a wildcat offense. It’s too bad because had they not lost their qb they probably would have had an 8-2 or maybe better season.
8-2 on the Big 8 East doesn't mean much. Whoever wins between RS and MV this week would only be the 4th best team on the West. 🤣
Travel-wise, this is actually a much better situation for Willard if you think about it.
Currently they have 5 opponents in the Joplin area. That’s 80+ miles for all those.
In the OMC, they’d have 2 opponents in a Joplin area and one in BFE.
Plus from a girls basketball standpoint, the OMC would probably be the best in the ozarks which I’m sure has something to do with Willard’s potential involvement.

In football it's possible, we'll see. They are already average to below average in many other sports. If Branson, CJ, Neosho and Willard do all leave that could make overall conference wins few and far between for Joplin and Carthage. That's why I somewhat jokingly suggest they will be the next to leave. When the bottom leaves, the middle becomes the new bottom. No one wants to be at the bottom.
Oh, no. Glendale will be at the bottom EVERY SINGLE YEAR. Trust me. SPS will have to make them indy in football or move them to another conference in a few years. It'll be THAT ugly.
No, currently there are 3 schools in the Joplin area in the COC. Neosho and CJ are gone. Make no mistake, Willard is making this decision because they can’t cut it in football. That’s it.

Parkview, Hillcrest, Neosho, and Willard are all headed to OMC.
Camdenton and Leb asked to get in and were turned down. The original six wanted no part of them in football.
Most likely scenario is Camdenton, Leb, Waynesville, and Rolla head north to form a conf with JC, Cap City, Hickman, Rock Bridge, and Battle.
Obviously Poo and Glendale will be in the COC.
Camdenton should be a no because of travel alone. I would be ok with Lebanon. They won't be this good for too much longer.
