Ozark Mountain Conference

There are schools in your conference now that are bigger than CJ was back then. They just aren’t beating you or giving you a good game for more than a year so you’re not complaining about it. Yet.
cAssville won the conference more times in a 10 year span in the early 2000 than CJ ever won it in thier entire history and that is going back to 1981! So why would Lamar or anybody for that fact complain? Its not like whe West Plains was in the SCA and totally dominating it.
And yes cAssville was bigger than Lamar, and nobody from Lamar was complaining..
CJ won the conference two times and then left that is in no way domination, They might have won it one more time before they left and competed a few times but that would have been it.

And thankfully both for the SCA and for West Plains this is no more.

In some conferences the other schools were just too small.

In other conferences the schools were just too big.

But Goldilocks feels like this new OMC is just right!

(Hopefully)

Did you ever see me mention anywhere that CJ dominated the Big 8? Lol

Anyone have any Intel about how this vote will go or what the objections to these schools could be or who would have objections?

I had heard from folks I assumed would know that the Hillcrest/Parkview situation hinged on SPS and not OMC. That OMC had basically extended an invite. I guess things can change, but everything I heard was the OMC reached out to them.

The whole thing is weird because I keep hearing that the vote tomorrow is on whether the OMC schools accept them and this is the final step

Kirksey was on the halftime show on 93.5 Friday night and basically said the same thing Wyatt tweeted out

Maybe my listening skills suck. My wife constantly tells me they do. Because I’m sure where I got my info was pretty close to Kirksey’s info.

My wife says the same thing about me but I don't believe her.
My wife talks to me all the time. I know because I see her lips moving but I don't hear a thing she says except when she talks about divorce and alimony. Then I think to myself, I better get squared away because this is the path Bosko has already been down.

I just noticed Marshfield has scheduled and posted to MSHSAA 3 non conference games next year. Does that mean the vote will be no?

At least Marshfield won the we get to play Central sweepstakes. It also shows how bad Central must think Marshfield will be next year.

I hope Hillcrest and Parkview make it in. I think Hillcrest being in makes a lot of sense, Parkview I don’t really care either way.

I could see some of the OMC schools not wanting them though. Such as Rog and Marshfield.

It would be two of the shorter road trips they make all year.
Oh I know, but Marshfield in particular has been getting their tails kicked by smaller schools in the Big 8 and it sounds like they’re looking to schedule as many non-conference powderpuff as possible to boost the win count so I don’t see them being on board.
Same with rogersville more often than not in the COC Small and Big 8 so I think they’re both going to oppose it.

I think they’ll get the green light from the rest of the schools though and hopefully just having a majority is enough.

Ouch!!! Powder puffs? Reeds Spring would beat both those schools, most years... and are one of the non-conference games you are referring to.

Obviously I was referring more to Central and whoever Marshfield schedules in the future and not Reeds.
But again, it is a Class 4 school willingly scheduling a Class 3 so it is playing down in my book.

Marshfield and Reed Springs have been conference rivals since I think 1998. Both need an out of conference game with their new conferences. I don't see the why its a big deal for them to play each other. I would expect Marshfield to pickup Ava in the future as well.

Ava would be a interesting pick up right now for Marshfield, they would probable get it handed to them.

Wonder what Ava has coming back next year? Right now they are rolling and they would roll Rogersville.
Ava has a pretty balanced roster. They have a good senior class this year but they also have a really good junior class and then some talented sophomores and freshmen. Their best player is a Junior and their QB is a sophomore

Prenger getting hurt totally changed everything for Log-Rog this year. With him they would have contended in the East without a doubt.
