Muslim in the White House

Thanks.

Do you really think a Christian, be they Methodist, Baptist, Catholic or any other would approve of someone running this country that does not believe Jesus was the son of God?
So you're biased against Jews too?

To answer the question, yes, I know plenty of people who would say otherwise. You don't have to be a Christian to have similar political beliefs to me or you.

Jews believe Jesus was the son of God.

Jews believe Jesus was the son of God.
There's a word for Jews who believe Jesus was the son of God. We call them Christians. They go to Catholic and Protestant churches, not synagogues.

The entire reason someone is a Jew (in religious terms) and not a Christian is because they don't believe that Jesus of Nazareth was the son of God. They don't believe he is the Messiah promised in the Old Testament.

I have not studied much on jewish beliefs. So which is it? You said Jews are christians, but they don't believe Jesus is the son of God. Those two don't go togather.

I have my opinions about them. That's why I'm asking you.

Why I would give you my opinion just so you can skewer it doesn't sound logical, but I will humor you.

I think being a Christian at least helps because we would know we would have an honest, caring, Godfearing man to steer the nation. Does that automatically mean he would be a great president? No, see Jimmy Carter, but if we had 2 qualified candidates, one a christian and one not, I'm voting for the christian.

Based on what research I have done, no, Mormans are not christians.

Yes, I voted for Mitt, thought he would make a better president than Obama, I still do.

Bush was supposed to be Christian and he was a liar and a terrible president.

I have two thoughts on that.

1.) Prove it.

2.) Obama is a liar, and a terrible president.

So, which do you want to address?

Google 'Bush lies'.

What did bush do that turned out good?

You republiberalcans are consistent if nothing else.

Hey tard. A lot of Christians don't like Jews because Jews don't believe Jesus has arrived yet. You are really a stupid republicliberaltard

My point is that adherents of the Jewish religion don't believe Jesus is the messiah. Jews who believe in Jesus are converts to Christianity who no longer qualify as adherents to Judaism.

substantively, the difference between a Jew and a Christian is whether or not they believe in the New Testament.

I think mitt would be better but he's captured in the brain dead party. Mitt Romney leading the R party of 1952 would have been the kind of person I want to be my president.

I have said it here many times. I should be a republican but the party is so bad they force me to vote elsewhere. They force guys like Romney into talking about self deportation and into pretending that the fiscal policy of the US should be to tax cut and deficit spend ourselves into a giant budget hole

Bush and carter are great examples of faith being a very poor reason to vote for someone. These two evangelicals were both terrible presidents. One of the best ones was an evangelical whose personal life was a wreck. Religion isn't the be all, end all.

Busy at work and misread this post. I agree

Jews most certainly believe Jesus has arrived and realize he died on the cross. They believe the messiah is yet to come.
But since I am so stupid, maybe you can educate me with your vast knowledge of Judaism and mosaic law.

You don't want a Jew in the White House but you don't even know what they believe. This is just hard to believe.

I actually never said I didn't want a Jew in the white house. I said with equal qualifications, I would rather have a christian be president than a non-christian.

I probably know more about Judaism than a lot of posters on here and yet I admitted I don't study on it much. I also did not bring up the subject, we were talking about christians vs muslims, and now all of a sudden I hate Jews?

Since I am Southern Baptist I can say this.....

after seeing Jimmy Carter and then Bill Clinton serve as President, I think we should ban Southern Baptist:D

The 80's were much better for my business, but I'm talking form a personal standpoint here. As a Baptist I am embarrassed that either of them ever claimed to be.

Why are you embarrassed by Jimmy Carter? By all accounts, he is a good man who still teaches Sunday School at the same church he's been going to for forever and after his time in offense he's traveled literally all over the globe to help impoverished people. Even if you think he's a terrible president, he's still someone I would be proud of in my faith.

Illogical? As a Deacon in his church that doesn't cut it.
I was thinking, as a Christian, you might be proud of what he's done for impoverished people across the globe and for promoting world peace. Maybe that's not your brand of Christianity though. More of the "if he's not in my political party he's going to hell" type of Christianity that's all too prevalent where I grew up in Missouri.

He has not denounced the LGBT community for one. He has not demonized abortion.

I'm not arguing he isn't a good person. I'm saying he is a horrible example of a Deacon in his church, besides being a pathetic President.
