Missouri ranked 10th best state for football

Looks like Calpreps is utilizing maxpreps data and rankings based upon a closer look
its actually the other way around Calpreps is the originator of the Freeman ratings.. and it only takes the top 50 teams for your average thus Hawaii is so high

PA coming in at 18!? Hawaii at 11!? Who made this list? A bunch of bozos and clowns!?
A freaking Doc Guy is who!
raw

that's funny Missouri might have 25 Div. 1 players in any given year. Florida Texas Ohio California Alabama Georgia Mississippi Tennessee Michigan Wisconsin Nebraska I know these states have many more div 1 recruits than Missouri.

I don’t think this has anything to do with blue chip recruits, but with how well our programs fare versus other state’s programs.

I’ve been around a bit. Missouri has good HS football. I played HS in Texas and that’s a whole different thing entirely.

That being said, Missouri is a level above most other states. Comparatively, the facilities are good, there‘s good involvement, pageantry and good quality football. Not top tier, mind you, but second tier, which is better than what most other states have.
But Hawaii at #11!?

Nebraska? I'm going to have to ask for a link to "many more" div 1 recruits data.

The others on your list are a hard agree from me. However imo those are probably concentrated in a very small minority of school districts in those states.

Outside of Indiana, no one above us shocks me. Plenty below us do. For instance Arkansas at #33 is laughable. Arkansas has been a couple steps ahead of Missouri overall and at the top class levels for over a decade now and the head to head results bear that out, albeit that is a small sample size.

It only takes the top 50 Arkansas does not have 50 quality schools playing football. Missouri does. A big part of that is population. A more Obvious comparison to that is Oklahoma and its super schools. While they are hypercompetitive the state overall (or at least top 50) is not. If it only took the top 10 these rankings would be much different

I lived in Arkansas for several years and got around to many games. Arkansas is ahead of Missouri and it's not really close.

I do however agree with you the Calpreps system PROBABLY rewards Missouri as you state. That being said, how do you explain Pennsylvania (among others below us)?

I have no idea just looking at the numbers it looks like the strength of schedule is low which makes me think there is not a lot of parity between the haves and have nots which can kill strength of schedule in the formula..... Personally I doubt there is a single well run booster club in Pennsylvania

Okay you clowns! Now listen up. I've ran the Ampipe booster club for over 30 years now! If I wasnt running things efficiently and making the money flow around here, why would I keep getting re-elected!? NICE TRY BOZOS!!!!

Regardless, how is no one talking about HAWAII being ranked #11!?!?

I think Hawaii gets a ton of credit because St. Louis Hawaii plays a national schedule and usually does well which is there only real out of state games the state plays which skews the results

That is because Booster Bosko is now a Missouri Native!

@Cards1968 hey looked up Bentonville Arkansas and their HS enrollment is almost 4000 so to me that kinda explains the gap.
