If I look at it right in class 1, #1 plays #2 and #4 plays #5 the game after districts. Man that will 2 good games to see.

Platte Valley (#3) will likely play Mound City (#6) in Sectionals also.
Another intesting dynamic is in Class 1 District 14. Princeton (#8) and Mercer (#10) are the top two seeds there. Winston, who is now 20-4 on the season after beating Mercer twice recently, is the 4 seed. That will be an interesting district.

Good luck everyone! I love this time of year!

Doesn’t the winner of D1, a few days later, play the winner of D2? 3-4, 5-6, 7-8 and so on, in sectional play?

True. This year districts 1,2,3,4,13,14,15, and 16 are on one side of the bracket and 5,6,7,8,9,10,11, and 12 on the other side

The 5-12 Districts side of the bracket in Class 4 is loaded. Primarily you have Vashon who should win state on talent alone. Watch out for Confluence and Jennings who aren't to be taken lightly in Vashon's district. McCluer is a very good team who is finally getting the recognition they deserve. Kam Hubbard, Devon Barshow, and Jeremiah Johnson are three great players. Fun, up-tempo team to watch who play a 1-3-1 defense. MICDS (20-4) is a very young, but very tall team. Five players who are between 6-6 and 6-7 who all play a lot of minutes. Brandon Mitchell-Day, Jack Pronger (Chris' son), Nick Roper, and Aaron Hendricks are standouts. Ladue (16-7) and U City (15-7) are in the same district as MICDS and either one of them can realistically win it. Ladue is a senior laden team with all but two players back from their state run last year and playing their best basketball of the season right now. Jaylen Boyd is one of the best point guards in the state for all levels. U City is on a 9-game winning streak and have four players averaging over ten points a game. Larry Abbey is an electrifying sophomore point guard for them.
