Luthern North - Tweet

What are the Vegas over and under as to how many times each team runs into one of their own team mates on offense?
Good Question! Better quesiton is how many Division 1 offers will be on the field or how many College Coaches from USC to Florida State will be at Lindenwood to watch the game! Will post streaming link for you guys if you actually wanna see what Elite athletes look like tossing around the ol pig skin.

Hot Take: If Carl Reed cannot Win the championship in class 2 this year. He’s a laughably bad football coach X’s and O’s wise. (Obviously a top notch recruiter and promoter of kids/their program)
Not a hot take at all lol its sitll Puzzling that they didnt win in 2017 that was like the most loaded Class 2 team you'll ever see. The talent has been slightly worse every year since so yea if he cant win a ring with this kind of talent then smh

I think we have to play this out, does it get worse or not, they don't have a ton of championships yet, doesn't mean the won't but doesn't mean they will either? Trinity with their high powered roster playing schools with a lot less talent won only one state championship, wasn't really that bad.

So here we have another small class team putting together a roster with 20 D1 recruits, That team has more talent on it than any other school, in any other class in our state, I assume CBC doesn't have that many? So if they don't win state in our second smallest class, coach Reed would have to be considered the worst X's and O's coach in the state of Missouri? It is one thing to be able to assemble the talent, it is another to coach it to victory, so can he win with it??

With all that being said I hope all of these kids go on to do great things, get their education and make something of their life with this opportunity!! I don't think anybody on this board wishes these kids any hard will. I think we can all agree you want to see kids go on and become successful no matter the school or location.

This entire blog exist because of them and you're right the answer should be who cares. The threat is I guess what scares them

Actually it’s a message board, not a blog and it existed long before they were ever much to talk about.

He is a great recruiter but what he needs to think about is what is the best fit for a kid education wise and football wise. There are far too many who fall thru the cracks and either don’t even make it thru 4 yrs because of academic ineligibility or get pushed thru the 4 yrs of eligibility but don’t end up graduating. Please don’t twist my words, I realize that’s not always the case but it does happen.

No one is twisting your words. But as usual you guys are making grand assumptions based off of literally no information. The reality is Lutheran North is a college prep school from the Metro League in St Louis which is probably the most academically excellent conference in the Area, every year its at least 2/3 Lutheran North guys with multiple Ivy League offers.

Lets also cut the crap. You guys are fake concerned about these kids when you have no reason to be. In reality these kids turn out to be great members of the community while getting a free education in college.

What percentage of student athletes that graduate from Lutheran North go on to college and then complete a degree in college? Being a college prep school I would assume that would be a pretty impressive number.

According to Niche, which is fairly accurate, 100% graduate, 87 % of students go on to college. Avg ACT score is 24...

Come on, man.... not cool.
Its ok. Thats a hard truth here in Ampipe. Back in the 70s and early 80s, the percentages were much higher. Ive taken major strides to reduce those numbers, since being elected booster club president. Sometimes its the simple things that get a kid straightened out. A ride to school, socializing in the hallways, or making sure kids to get class. Other times, it takes a hard "chat" get set em on the right path.

Never underestimate the power of a well timed high five either.

You cry babies have been accusing private schools for years of recruiting. All you are is a bunch of hypocrites. Private schools never seem to build the consistency that public schools do with the exception of Rockhurst.

Trinity, CR, CBC Lutheran North are all located in talent rich areas and despite their emergence, Public schools like Ladue, Eureka, Hazelwood Central and Kirkwood seem to be doing just fine.

Despite all your boohooing, public schools are the ones that own the records for longest winning streaks and consecutive state titles so unless your school is in the middle of nowhere, they are recruiting too.

If Trinty, CR, and Lutheran North played in classes as large as Ladue, Eureka, Hazelwood Central and Kirkwood play in we wouldn't be having this discussion.

You missed the point. If Private schools were out recruit as they are being accused, then public schools, regardless of size would be competitive.

Bottom line is this. The ones doing the most complaining are from the more dominant public teams. You’re scared.

I'm not scared, my team has never won anything. Had several shots with loaded girls basketball teams only to run into Visitation in the late '70s/early '80s. It's not a new topic. Small class sized schools are mostly rural and can't compete with super teams constructed from our larger metro areas. I don't like it, but it's the lay of the land and has been forever. Will make the first one all the sweeter.

Lutheran North is the only team other than Ladue to beat Class 4 runner up MICDS last season. In 2028, MICDS went deep into the post-season but was beaten by LN then, too. The majority of teams they play in the regular season are Class 4 or larger, and they have filled their schedule with out of state schools with 2000 student enrollments when Missouri Class 5 and 6 schools won’t play them. They scheduled Trinity and Ritter for the first 2 weeks of the season because the goal is to play the toughest competition available, be as prepared for Districts as possible, then run thru Class 2 and 3.

Hopefully, they’ll win Class 2 and get an enrollment bump so the success multiplier will put them in Class 4. It’s the largest and, arguably, the deepest and most talented classification in Missouri. If given the ability to, all 3 schools would jump up to Class 4 THIS year.

Google can be your best friend. You just dont follow Mo HS Football while commenting on a Mo HS Football board, which is fine I guess
That Google thing is pretty cool thanks!!!

Well I googled it, and it appears that 20 years ago Lutheran North won their last Championship. No wonder I never heard of them.

This is the team everyone is going on about??? Lol good lord win a couple this century then start talking

Ampipe class for upperclassmen...I'm not kidding... Prison Survival. The syllabus covered Shot Callers, wig splitters, chumos, cell cooking, and prison excercise. Ampipe has some tough hombres.

No, you’ve probably never heard of them because you’re from the middle of nowhere Missouri and you shop at Kum & Go for groceries. Everyone who follows Missouri HS Football in the major cities or just small school football in Missouri has heard of these schools before last year.

Well honestly we grow most of our own food.

Last time I saw one of those high powered St Louis private schools With all of the elite D1 football players the boys from up the road in Lamar were knocking the crap out of them lol

It’s the attention and college scholarships that have people

Wait a second...are you from the future!?!? 2028!! Does LN become the next Webb City/Lamar? I have so many questions to ask about the future!!

Lutheran North football @CoachReed314told me today that star players Antonio Doyle, Itayvion Brown and Trayvion Ford have more than 100 D1 football scholarships, between the three of them. There are potentially 20 D1 players on Coach Reed's St. Louis-area team.
Well there are “Potentially” 150 D1 players on Webb’s roster this year :)

Don’t flatter yourself, I was talking about athletes in general not just yours. Yes, I do happen to care about kids! There are coaches out there who are in it for themselves and bragging on all their D1 prospects makes him look pretty dang good! Well unless all those D1 prospects end up getting beat by a bunch of small town boys who don’t have any D1 prospects at all. But that story I should probably talk about on the most memorable game thread!

Then you weren’t watching CBC win Class 6, Vianney win Class 5, MICDS in the Class 4 Championships, or Trinity vs Ritter in the Class 3 State Championship Game last year. The last I heard, Lamar was owned by Cassville for the conference title then got overpowered by some team that’d never won State before.

You can tune in to ESPN this September and watch two more high powered St. Louis private schools, too.

Oh Really? Because a 8 to 6 score I dont think would be considered "knocking the crap" out of anything. Also that game was BEFORE last year so you in fact did hear of the school before last year.

LAST YEAR Lamar was busy getting smacked in the mouth and out the playoffs. So I understand why last year may be a little cloudly for you.

:DI’m sure he was referring to the 2013 spanking of 70-7 we gave you in 2013 on our way to our 2nd straight state championship. I will give you this, 2017 was much closer but still, we won and went on to win our 7th Straight State Championship. I didn’t know if you realized we had won all those years in between since we hadn’t heard a lot from you.
Yes, lost last year in the quarterfinals. Nothing shameful about it!! There’s a whole lot of teams that don’t make it that far!

that 2013 team wasnt quite as loaded as 2015 and 2017. But thats one thing I wont sit here and argue. its PATHETIC that we didnt win in 2017. That team was so much more talented than everyone in Class 2. Like mud bowl vs Lamar or not that was sad. Lamar had no business
