Best Trinity, Lutheran North, Cardinal Ritter Teams

We've Been on a Crazy Run in Class 2/3 the last 5 years with some of the most talented teams to ever grace Missouri.

In Total, the last 5 years these 3 Schools have produced 9 All-Americans and over 60 division 1 football players.

This is all due to hard work and the development of the St. Louis Junior Football leagues. Talent boom like nothing we've seen in St Louis or the State.

Here's my Top 5

1. 2019 Cardinal Ritter (RIP Marv Burks)
Now they beat LN while they were missing two All Americans, and we never got the rematch. But going to Nazareth and winning is the most impressive win of all. Was probably the best team in All Missouri this year. Top in talent all over the roster and led by 5 Star Sophomore WR Luther Burden.
They should be good again next year if they can replace QB

2. 2017 Lutheran North
Probably the most talented team. Loaded at every position. Multiple D1 guys. Best team I ever seen NOT to win state. Decided to play Lamar in the Rain/on Grass were speed no longer matters and lost 7-6. Learned their lesson and played Lathrop on turf.

3. 2018 Trinity
Most impressive game was actually a Loss. They outplayed East St. Louis AT ESTL and lost in Triple OT to horrible officiating. This team was loaded. 4 Total All Americans on the roster. Players at Ohio State, Florida State, and the 2-Time Gatorade POY Isaiah Williams now QB at Illinois.

4. 2019 Lutheran North
4* Tank Brown and 4* Travion Ford are the OLBs and All American Antonio Doyle and 6'0 235lbs Chris Childs at ILB
This is the best LB core St Louis has ever seen and maybe the state. LN just dominated the LOS and inflicted pain. Offense Nowhere near the 1st 3 teams on the list but Defense is probably better than all 3. They have 4 DBs with ofers as well. Finished 14-0 and State Champs winning 49-0 vs Ava

5. 2017 Trinity
Gave them the Edge over 2016 Trinity who lost to Lamar at State. Everyone a year older and the also got in SLUH Transfer and Future Ohio State player Mookie Cooper this year. Who IMO was the best player on the 2018 Team.
They blew out everyone, only Loss was to 2017 Lutheran North 48-46 in a game attended by over 5,000 and has 20k views on YouTube. Classic game if youve never seen it.

Highest Rated Lutheran North, Cardinal Ritter, or Trinity teams out of all the teams in Missouri from 2003 to 2019.

Cardinal Ritter 2018 Rank #341 best team in Missouri since 2003
Lutheran North 2019 Rank #172. Managed to beat Lathrop (with no D1 talent or recruiting 38-24)
Trinity 2018. Rank #124 49.8 rating.

Twelve Webb City teams rate higher than any of these teams. Hell, Blair Oaks 2018 ranks better than any of these schools' teams.

Whats so Funny?

Players in St Louis are coming into HS right now already very advanced and developed skill wise. This is a testament to the Junior Football leagues and coaches giving these kids the tool to succeed.

Schools like LSU, Georgia, Florida State, and USC offered 4 freshmen last spring in St. Louis thats a testament to that.

Yeah, I remember a couple of years ago an undefeated St. Louis Pop Warner team came over and played Fort Osage. Big mistake. Fort O's team were national champs and runners' up the next year. They smoked the St. Louis kids. A few year's before that, the same coach was in the national finals with a player your might have heard of named Skyler Thompson from Kansas State.

Pretty sure they got 3rd. Either way, that is what you are seeing in St Louis when kids stay together from a JFL team here in STL.

Duschense is going to experience a version of that in a year of so, they had a freshman class of kids that all played together.

2015 National Champs. Or are you talking about Skyler Thompson's team?

I mean Kansas State might as well be Pitt State to me. Shame he wasnt recruited at a higher level. I wonder why KC kids arent highly thought of.

Yeah, all the fans at Arrowhead are going to think mightly low of Kansas City native Drew Lock, as he leads the Denver Broncos this weekend. Just in case you don't know...that is an NFL team. You right remember St. Louis used to have one.

How did Ritter's season play out?

Pretty sure that's what he's alluding to.

Bad for the coaches. Not so much for the players. Including the RB at the center of the controversy got offered by Purdue last week. Not a national powerhouse, but a Big 10 program nonetheless.

What award did MSHSAA give to Lathrop for not being shutout in the Semifinals? Looking back, folks seem more pleased with that than they were heartbroken by Lathrop’s 54-0 loss to Blair Oaks last year. I mean, they were losing by 3 TDs at halftime. Is closing the gap by 7 points a cause for pride? Or is the point that Lathrop improved significantly over the prior year because they lost to the eventual State Champion by 40 fewer points?

Yeah I remember that St. Louis team had as many Super Bowl appearances AND wins in 20 years in St. Louis as the Chiefs have had in 60 years in Kansas City.

Most recent Super Bowl victory by a team from Missouri belongs to St. Louis.

Now that is just stupid. Thompson was heavily recruited. It was mildly surprising that he chose K-State but they beat Oklahoma this year and spent most of the season in or right out of the top 25. Plus as far as I know he didn’t have an alias he played under at Fort Osage pretending to be a freshman.

That sucking sound I hear are all the Missouri taxpayers shelling out money for those dormant ass facilities the Ramrods left behind.
