Lincoln quit tonight?

We agree it's BO that makes coaches successful and if he built BO in 3 years he's surely owned some of struggles during his 12 at JC? No? So if he loses it's someone else's fault or didn't have athletes....but if anyone else loses it's because they're terrible...seems reasonable.

I can tell and I'm happy for you! Future looks bright as ever with all those studs!
I think you take things way out of hand. As it's been stated many times, he had one losing season at JC. I believe it was posted earlier they had the 5th most wins in Class 6 during his tenure. They were ranked in the top 5 multiple years he was there. 2 semi final appearances. I guess your definition and my definition of struggles are different. When I think of a struggling program it's a team that never gets over .500, never is in the mix for a state championship. Did he win the big one at JC, no, do I think he struggled and they were a terrible program, no.

I'm having a really hard time figuring out if @BOProudAlum10 is close to the program, was/is close to Drehle, or is so far removed from the community that you have no idea what's been going on lately, and what "most" the town feels. You're all over the place, man!
I'm going to take a guess that he was on staff with Drehle or had a kid that played for Drehle.

The 1st half is anyway!

Post the definition of morbidly obese, Bosko.
Obese adjective

very fat or overweight.
"a hugely obese young man"

Now you asked for "morbidly obese"

Right from the UNIVERSITY OF PITTSBURGH Medical Center itself!

"A clear definition of morbid obesity is very important because this definition is used to guide doctors in the selection of treatment options for people who are overweight. Individuals are usually considered morbidly obese if their weight is more than 80 to 100 pounds above their ideal body weight.

A more widely accepted and more exact way to define morbid obesity is with the body mass index (BMI). The BMI is calculated as follows:"

Well what do you! Not a SINGLE definition of the word had a picture of ME! I know where you were going with that one, Top! NICE TRY BOZO!!!

WOman as in Mrs. Drehle.

Success is measured in many ways. If I wanted a coach that epitomized the best in coaching, character, motivation, community leader, building relationships, work ethic....LePage wins this over any of the others that were there after him (or before him). I try to picture the broader scope of things. Walker and Drehle wouldn't have survived the JC experience. Walker obviously figured it out it was way over his head. The split of schools was a major factor. As a distant observer of all 3 coaches and watching there teams play, Lepage teams are more disciplined, more fundamental! So the point is yes, BO athletes help, but without the right mixture of a coach you won't win the big one. LePage has won 3 since his return. Drehle or Walker doing that? I don't believe so.

I do not see the splitting of the schools as a factor at all. JC has dropped from Class 6 to Class 4 since then. If you were to combine the CC and JC rosters, I do not think you compete at the highest level in class 5 or 6. Just my opinion.

You missing the point. Splitting a prideful school in JC does factor into it. Even if they are class 4. Add a school in wardsville, both would be class 1-2 schools. Blair Oaks HS wouldn't be the same even in smaller class. If you had add CC and JC roster they absolutely would compete very well in Class 6.

So splitting a school takes away the pride? I do not understand that at all? JC is still the Jays! BO is already split with Helias. Many of their students live in the wardsville community. You add those players back to BO roster, several more championships would have been won.

So JC schools don't lose kids to Helias? C'mon man do better. That comparison is funny. Look what happened to Hickman when Battle was built. That is just another example. You think that didn't hurt Hickman? You start losing games, kids lose interest, coaches want to leave or not come at all. This really isn't hard to understand.

JC has not lost too many kids to Helias. Look at the Helias rosters. Same kids that come up through PAL and Knights basketball are the ones on rosters. Helias hurts BO more than JC. Hickman still stayed class 6, so come on man you can not use that example. If Hickman would have dropped to Class 4, they would have definitely won more games. Again, I am saying, just because schools split, does not mean the school pride has to be gone. There is one common denominator among great programs........ The youth feeder programs.

Uh there are plenty of kids who play PAL that attend JC and Vice Versa. More kids live in JC that go to Helias, so you are not stating facts. Its a population thing. Columbia is over 100K people. Of course 3 Public schools will have more kids and play in larger class. JC is pop of 40k....anyway we can disagree and that is ok. My point was a coach can be a difference in a program, which I was clarifying LePage is one of few that can change programs for the better regardless of school climate and culture. I enjoy the debate with ya though. Nothing personal and I hope you know that.
