Lincoln quit tonight?

Got to love the Jeff City area when it comes to football. Jay fans are stuck in Pete Adkins days and Blair Oaks fans think football started in 2003.

Thanks 'new member'.
You bet
Looks like Lincoln had four subs to start the game and maybe only two by the time the game ended. QB and RB weren’t playing at the end. There were boys in jerseys on the sideline - maybe they’ll be back. Wonder if Lincoln will play this week.

So much to unpack here. Somebody forgot to snort their ritalin before posting.

11 or 12 games under .500 at Chrisman is considered "winning"? I get they were trash prior. I also get the dist title was against three other teams, correct?

4 wins in 3 years is a "head scratcher"? I have different descriptors. Awful. Non-competitive. Record losing.

You can "win" as a HS OC? Seriously? Most HS OC don't even call plays. I need our former "head defensive coordinator" on the board to weigh in here.

I don't think either Lepage at JC or Walker at BO had a run of 4 wins in 3 years. And make no mistake, Waynesville's entire schedule was the Ozark Conference. Not exactly known as a football hot bed. That means they were consistently losing to the likes of Parkview, Hillcrest, Glendale...the schools that sorta, kinda barely acknowledge they have football programs.

I know Lepage had at least one semi appearance (was at that game) and I thought another at JC. Seems like that would equate to at least 4 wins in one singular season, right? Like the same number as 3 years in Waynesville. Seems like those are different to me.
IDK......I couldn't tell you...but keep in mind whatever it was it was the same for LePage while he was at Blair Oaks.

What's the math on 86-46 in 12 years @JC in the richest football program in Missouri History? 65%

Good man, good teams, great people and community!

You shouldn't harbor personal feelings for grown men...it's weird.

Waynesville......don't know the place, but most military schools have kids coming and going 2-3 times per semester. Comparing that to JC's tradition of 20+ championship appearances is degrading to Jeff City and a silly comparison.

This whole thing is weird - it was a post about Lincoln suffering a down year in numbers. Piggy backing pretty hard on this one.

its' a post about quitting because you're getting back what you've dished out in the past and can't handle it.

What kind of lesson is that teaching young people?

Okay you bozos and nincompoops!!! Listen up! I HAVE lost weight!! Do I REALLY need to post the pics again!? Also, Top, going to 600 lbs from 750 lbs is STILL a 150 lbs weight loss. Thats no small feat! NICE TRY BOZOS!!!

Sounds like they should cancel them all, at best they have 16-17 on roster. Grades, COVID, Discipline, Kids being kids and injury will leave you with 12-13 on a good night. All underclassman without position backups.

Tough spot for all, especially the kids and parents that have to hear this after their son getting hurt.

IDK why you're so angry, but really.....

sounds like what a bunch of other towns have gone through over the years.

Suck it up.

Resume shows that he won in College as a Hall of Fame QB, won at Oak Grove as OC and Head Basketball, won again as OC at Ft Zumwalt West, won again Head Coaching Job William Chrisman - first dist championship in school history in 3 years, 1 state title, 2 Runner Ups, 5 semi finals, 11 District Titles, 10 Conference titles, Waynesville was a head scratcher and about as good a fit as LePage at JC or Walker at BO, won again at Lincoln - another district champ, conf champ and quarterfinal...crickets last year?!? Career numbers...likely underestimated but a quick search yielded different results and far more extensive career. Strange take - feels personal.

As far as BO - 2005 team was arguable the most talented team in history...ended in a VERY disappointing upset loss and departure of LePage to JC. Good coach and great kids - sometimes you just don't win. 06 was less talented and won state under a first year coach?!?

JC deteriorated into .500 teams under LePage, which is a far cry from 10 state championships and hardware they were accustom to.

By your theory - Walkers 3 years didn't exist and that hardware belongs to the previous staff.

As far as LePage coached teams...he had the same luxury that the last 3 coaches at Blair Oaks had - walking into a state championship caliber team first year. Expected to win and did - if you think that doesn't require good coaching then what's your point? Again - both LePage's recent state championships are Walker coached kids?

Blair Oaks had 2 recent "hardware winning" seasons prior to 06...haven't had a losing season since with 3 head coaching changes.

I love Blair Oaks and anyone every associated with it - I was at BO during this time and it was a great day to be a Falcon! I've been away for several years, but always follow their success.

Winning requires good athletes - if you don't think they're as good now as they've ever been you're delusional. As you said, all the records have been broken!

The JR Falcon investment is paying dividends and that was started by LePage the year he departed and developed into what it is today via Paul Mud and LePage's successor.

It's the green machine now...........it was built with winning in mind.

Respect isn't something you seem capable of and that comes from underachieving.

LePage has admitted 2003 was the best he's coached. Centralia beat them.

JC will never be the same. It hasn't been the same for 20 years. The area has changed, the district, the people. JC has been a dumpster fire for 8 years. Coach LePage had one losing season in 12 years there. I believe 2 semi final appearances. In 2015, they had 2 losses, both of those teams played in the state championship game that year. They were 8-1 and the 3 seed in their district. 4 of the 12 years there, their season ended to the State Champion or Runner Up. They had 7 D1 kids from in his 12 years there if I remember correctly. That's a far cry from their 97 team. If you're from the area and know what JC has turned into, then you should know it's not the rich history it once was and what he did there was a lot better than 4 wins in 3 years...

Maybe OR is there a chance Waynesville was a bigger dumpster fire with no D1 athletes?

Very true. Thankfully. Evidently you need D1 talent to win multiple games in one season.
Or you develop them into D-1 athletes. Not knocking JC at all, but they have not won a district title at Class 4 level yet. That alone shows the drop off. I do know that LePage runs a 1st class program wherever he is at. Same for Coach Drehle. If i was interviewing both for a job, LePage would be chosen though.

Maybe OR is there a chance Waynesville was a bigger dumpster fire with no D1 athletes?
I think you would have to be a fool to compare what LePage did at JC and what Drehle did at Waynesville. LePage was competitive every year he was there. Even his last year in his only losing season they were still competitive. He didn't go 0-10 two years in a row. I think anyone in the area knows how big of a dumpster fire JC has been. I didn't bring up the D1 athletes to compare to Waynesville, more so to compare what JC once was. The 97 team had 3 NFL players on it.

You'd have to be a fool to compare JC and Waynesville first, but you did. You brought up D1 athletes and dumpster fire to defend LePage .65 record and no titles in 12 years. But if anyone defends our coach with the same it's foolish?

Waynesville wasn't a good choice or fit - he failed, resigned and moved on. JC wasn't a good choice - he failed, resigned and moved back to BO. What if LePage went to Capital City....would we be talking titles and hardware or just the one from 03'?

LePage knew what BO had to offer...realized it's something you can't build anywhere else. The work ethic, family support, tradition, culture, GPA, success builds success, resources, youth program. LePage is a great coach and he's earned that rank and respect.

Just saying - all your points seem personal as they're only arguable one way.

You'd have to be a fool...

You've proven, in your short time here, to be proficient in this area.

Waynesville wasn't a good choice or fit - he failed, resigned and moved on.

Careful, you're going to ruin your fool streak with an accurate statement like that. But hey, good decision for retirement! The three year stint probably had zero to do with that though, huh?

I never compared JC to Waynesville. My comment on your post was referring to the Rich Tradition at JC. I stated all of that because JC isn't the same that it once was. So many people talk about LePage failing at JC like they were still the school district and community from the 70s-90s. Winning almost 70% of your games is not my definition of failing. My original point was never about Waynesville. I never once said JC and Waynesville were similar or stated anything about Drehle at Waynesville until you brought it up and compared them.

To answer some of your other scenarios, the title was 04 not 03. Cap City was not a school when LePage left JC nor do I think the same district would've hire him...but I have always thought had he went to Rock Bridge and the talent they had from mid 00s - 2015 then I think he would've had a couple state titles. Again, just my opinion.
