Lincoln quit tonight?

You're trying WAAAYYY too hard.

I never compared JC to Waynesville. My comment on your post was referring to the Rich Tradition at JC. I stated all of that because JC isn't the same that it once was. So many people talk about LePage failing at JC like they were still the school district and community from the 70s-90s. Winning almost 70% of your games is not my definition of failing. My original point was never about Waynesville. I never once said JC and Waynesville were similar or stated anything about Drehle at Waynesville until you brought it up and compared them.

To answer some of your other scenarios, the title was 04 not 03. Cap City was not a school when LePage left JC nor do I think the same district would've hire him...but I have always thought had he went to Rock Bridge and the talent they had from mid 00s - 2015 then I think he would've had a couple state titles. Again, just my opi

You've proven, in your short time here, to be proficient in this area.

Careful, you're going to ruin your fool streak with an accurate statement like that. But hey, good decision for retirement! The three year stint probably had zero to do with that though, huh?
Does LePage win state championships anywhere but BO - IDK...12 years and .65 outside of BO says maybe not. But watching you backtrack on your guy calling 65% almost 70% and 70% winning is awesome!

Drehle made the mistake of replacing the man twice. He was the replacement for LePage and then at Waynesville with Vernon. Never be the guy who replaces the legend. It normally will not end up good for you.

CYBERSTALKER...how many years will we find comments of you stalking this man. Seems resentful, petty, childish and I'd call it bullying but it's simply stalking since you hide behind the cover of forums for your personal attacks.
Easy there, @BOProudAlum10 . I get that you are new to MoSports, so I'll let this one slide.

That isnt ANYONE hiding behind the cover of forums. That's JOE KANE!! His profile picture is literally himself!! You might have seen the sports documentary The Program. Joe's collegiate career and struggles with alcohol are documented in it. He also a member of the legendary group, The Doc Guys. I myself am also a Doc Guy. What's a Doc Guy? Go check out the thread 'Doc Guys....FOREVER'! NICE TRY BOZO!!

Considering LePage has been at 2 schools as a Head Coach for 23 years, we will probably never know if he wins one with a school other than BO. But since you want to bring up success as an "OC", LePage won a title at JC in 97 and runner up in 98. So not sure if you want to count that, or only count Drehle's success as an OC. Ain't no backtracking from me on LePage, he can flat out coach. Sorry I was off 5% on the winning percentage.

Just out of curiosity, how many games did you watch when LePage was at JC?

You made up 5% or 5 wins...I guess that was my point.

JC has an awesome tradition like you said, then unsaid and now say again. Friday night highlights every week so more than I'd like to recall. I still follow the news and read articles every Sunday - it's a great sports reporting town!

He's a good coach at a great program and will have success until he resigns...no doubt. I'm happy and proud of Blair Oaks and glad he's back coaching there, all things considered.

LePage is a hall of fame coach and our small community is lucky to have him. I hope he retires there because they don't handle change well....geez.

LOL so you've never been to a game when he was at JC. The Friday night highlights tell it all of course. JC HAD, again I'll repeat HAD a good tradition. That's been my whole point, it's not what it was and it never will be again. The community, admin, everything is different than it was during Pete's run. LePage built the BO program

Obviously you have close ties to Coach Drehle, because I do not know one person in the BO community that feels Drehle is a better coach than LePage.

We can agree that I am glad he's back too. I wish he had never left.

Do you count for 1.5 or 2 Doc guys Bosko? That could be 5% off then.

BOProudAlum10 - Nobody on here has said Drehle isn't a good coach, plain and simple. The everybody in general (except those closely connected to Drehle), and every person I know connected to Blair Oaks just think LePage is better and he's on a different level as coach compared to Drehle and Walker. I feel the same based on what I've seen over the years. But by no means have they ever said Drehle is a bad coach, or Walker, and neither am I. The problem is, in trying to defend Drehle, you have started to trash LePage in the process. You also started this big comparison between them.

So since you want to compare, let's compare. We all know LePage has a better career record, more district titles, state titles. etc. But let's see what Calpreps gives us.

I know this isn't 100% percent accurate but it's pretty accurate, and it's the best tool to compare with besides the eye test, which will give you the same results. This rating system by Calpreps didn't start until 2003, so that's why it's starts then. Remember Jeff City was 30-31 in the 6 years before LePage arrived. So the program was going down the toilet before hand.
Jefferson City under LePage:
Year, Ranking, Rating
2006 - 16 - 43.4
2007 - 12 - 44.5
2008 - 9 - 48.8
2009 - 10 - 47.1
2010 - 13 - 44.5
2011 - 6 - 58.8
2012 - 15 - 44.9
2013 - 39 - 31.3
2014 - 11 - 43.8
2015 - 15 - 41.8
2016 - 23 - 34.8
2017 - 59 - 23.3

During his tenure at Jeff City, Jeff City had the 5th most wins out of all class 6 programs. Not exactly failing, unless you consider him not winning a state title as the reason he failed. Other than that, he didn't fail at Jeff City.

Not under LePage -
2003 - Incomplete year didn't have all of their games skewing the results, but would having roughly been in the low 30's since the 2 games they were missing were losses.
2004 - 20 - 39.1
2005 - 59 - 27.5
2018 - 56 - 21.8
2019 - 91 - 14.1
2020 - 99 - 8.7
2021 - 76 - 7.9
2022 - 93 - 2.1

You also need to understand how bad Blair Oaks was before LePage arrived, consistently only won 2-4 games a year on average, you know the team that schools would schedule for homecoming.
Blair Oaks under LePage:
Year, Ranking, Rating
2003 - 15 - 44
2004 -9 - 48.2
2005 - 30 - 36.7
2018 - 5 - 52.1
2019 - 36 - 30.4
2020 - 4 - 50.1
2021 - 83 - 6.1
2022 - 8 - 36.5

Blair Oaks under Drehle:
2006 - 14 - 44.4
2007 - 33 - 36
2008 - 53 - 27.8
2009 - 126 - 10.3
2010 - 133 - 10.8
2011 - 65 - 26.1
2012 - 47 - 30.4
2013 - 62 - 23.3
2014 - 57 - 23.5

Blair Oaks under Walker:
2015 - 37 - 32.5
2016 - 50 - 22.4
2017 - 48 - 26.4

Thank you for your research, cuz what you are saying I think is the majority of feelings in Falcon Country. Both Drehle and Walker were good coaches, but LePage is just on a different level. I would argue the 2015 team under Walker was the most talented team during this whole run, but that's for another thread lol.

I do agree they competed at the highest level. I guess the tradition I am referring to is more off the field. Community has changed, lack of admin support, etc. I think that has been the fall of JC. I personally think LePage was able to overcome a lot of it, but eventually caught up and now JC is where they are.

We agree it's BO that makes coaches successful and if he built BO in 3 years he's surely owned some of struggles during his 12 at JC? No? So if he loses it's someone else's fault or didn't have athletes....but if anyone else loses it's because they're terrible...seems reasonable.

I can tell and I'm happy for you! Future looks bright as ever with all those studs!
