Harrisonville Seating Issues Thread :)

I hope they are a little more civil this time around. Went up a couple of years ago and was not very impressed with the treatment of our fans. And I think about that every time I go up to KC as I purposely avoid Harrisonville.

Last time Maryville played Harrisonville in a state semifinal (06 I believe) thought they brought some temp bleachers in on north endzone. But that may of been before they did stadium renovations.

Jerks. I’ve never seen crazy like that game. Tried to not even let our fans use restrooms instead of porta potties. They herd us through gates like cattle and their student section was waiting for the buses, one was dressed like a cow with a megaphone yelling at the players about their girlfriends, families, stuff they researched on Facebook. The cheerleaders ripped down posters players mom’s made. Then there was the air horn issue....BRING THOSE BASTAGE’S ON! I am ready.

Really, could just avoid all of Cass County and your life would be just as complete.

Was anyone at the game in 2014? Have they changed or is the 2010 behavior the norm? It will be my first trip to Harrisonville for a game since the 1996 district game and I’m worried.

my worst experience was when after standing in line for 2 hours I was told visitors had to go through the other gate and they made me get out line and go to the other end of the stadium and get at the end of that line

If it wouldnt have been for missing the game in jail me and that Harrisonville administrator would have had a serious discussion

I started this thread just for you :)

I would think that since I'd a high school playoff game and you had a ticket it shouldn't matter what gate you go in or where you sit. There is no assigned seat number on the ticket so first come first serve.
Yea you would think that, One year we were seated well to the south of the press box and they told about 30 of us that was seating for Harrisonville and told us to move, we told them what they could do,,Dr Langford came up and asked us to move south a bit. We all got up and moved about three feet , Dr Langford told their guy we weren't moving any more.

They are pretty much not good hosts, and don't even THINK about hanging anything on their FENCE LOL

Winner, winner, chicken dinner!!!!! Great post.
:D:D:D

That Hville/Webb game shall also live in infamy!
Wow, folks. If you have to resort to that kind of crudeness to fire your fans or your team up?? You don't have much to build anything on. o_O
Well it did work to fire up the Webb boys! I'm pretty sure the turbo clock was running early into the 3rd qt.

They were awful. I am proud to say my house has not spent a bloody dime in that town since 2010. They wouldn’t even wait on me in the gas station that day. They were the biggest jackholes I ever seen. They said horrible things to our coaches too. BUT. I believe changes were made and they have improved things. We shall see. I do appreciate them though for getting my son a college scholly. Every college coach on a visit mentioned that game. He knew Momma was being ejected from the stadium so he knew I would need highligts. :)

I liked in 2006 when Harrisoville brought in 10 dump truck loads of sand to "smooth" out playing field in the state semifinal game.

Yea we were on the south end of the stadium way past the press box and we're told to move. They had brought in 2-3 little portable bleachers to hold 2000 people from Webb, thats where we were all supposed to go

Seating for postseason games is supposed to be first come/first serve; has that changed???

If not, I don’t see how Harisonville’s administration can get away with this kind of behavior.

The year before, Bolivar announced that Webb City people would have to leave their side and go back over to the west side, no seating left on that side at all.

I've been to hundreds of games, including several at Harrisonville, and I've never experienced any of these issues. Maybe Harrisonville isn' the problem.
But were you at the specific game they are talking about? Or the Webb Bolivar game referenced?

I was told in 2010 by someone who helps broadcast the Hville games that they had 4 guys faster than Maddy. Pretty sure he ran all over them. I was there in 2014 and it didn’t have the same feel as it did for a semifinal game. It was fine then.

Dude I've got one better than that, guess what they did to the chili? OMG I can not wait for this game, two untamed stallions running free in a field of glory, one will have to be tamed while the other may frolic in the field for a little while longer.

In 2010 the team and fans were pretty confident that they were far better and more prepared than Webb. They were pretty pumped by beating Kearney but that just made the Webb boys even madder because they wanted a piece of Kearney. The crowd was humbled at half and you are right Maddy ran all over them and the defense was all over their fast running backs and receivers. We'll see the same thing this Friday.

If I was anywhere that had general admission seating and was told to move, I'd be moving in handcuffs.

You would not have been in handcuffs because the long arm of the law took WC’s side. They were there in full force, thank God. They even had police escorting us to our seats. I had purchased my mom’s tickets and a policeman had to walk me to the fence to give it to her because the admin said I couldn’t leave our side. It was absolutely ridiculous.
The cheerleading sponsor tried to get the highway patrolman to kick us out for hanging WC signs. The highway patrolman was very nice. He was talking to my group of mom’s as the bus pulled in. After reviewing the rules he took our side. Great moment in my mom life though to have police in a meeting with us as bus pulled in. Still burns my backside.

They obviously didn’t read the rules. Trust me, they knew them by the end of that game. Webb City fans were not the problem that game.

When you step on another's turf, you follow their rules. You will be told once. If you don't abide, you will be asked to leave. If you refuse to leave, you will be arrested for trespassing.

These simple rules can be applied to many situations: visiting a family member's or friend's home, visiting a football opponent's football stadium, etc.

Wrong. Playoff games are considered neutral field
You can consider it whatever you want. Look at the name on the field and the school. The property rights of the school supersede any MSHSAA guidelines. If you disagree, then you can discuss it with MSHSAA after you exit the property.
