Curious, what is the best game to pay for this Friday and Saturday?

For me, the obvious ones would be Fair Grove vs. Lafayette County or LSN vs. Nixa. Both are one vs two in at least one of the rankings systems.....I'll give an honorable mention to Webb city vs. Platte County just cause I'm interested to see how good this Webb team has gotten
None because most are unwatchable.
Plus, you're giving money to people who don't earn it.
LSN Nixa is must watch TV. Sounds like my guy Jackson Cantwell will be traveling via stagecoach with 11 oxen that he will be pulling. Good chance he carves out another riverway for the MO river to expand.
I’m planning to watch Platte County at Webb City in person Friday and deciding between Pembroke Hill at Lamar or Seneca at Mount Vernon Saturday afternoon … son wants to go to Pittsburg for Harding University at Pitt State for Division II playoff game.
I’ll wait and read everyone’s thoughts on the other games and perhaps purchase the online broadcast if any other games become instant classics.

Carefull with the Webb stream. It has been very subpar this year. Probably why the stadium has still been full from 3-6. I would pop on that Nixa game if you havent seen that great wall of pancakes with the little cherry on top running behind it. Defense will give up a lot. If a team can stop that run then they can take them down.
Watched Nixa at Webb and got to see the future Olympian and NFL lineman.
Proximity Friday is the Webb game … have not had a chance to watch Platte County in person in a long time. Covered Aurora at Platte County in 1999, saw them at the dome in 2000, covered the semifinal at Carl Junction in 2001 and the following week watched them win another title and 2002 covered the Seneca at Platte County game where they held a 2,600 yard running back to under 50 yards.
Have always had respect for the program, Coach Sherman was very polite and professional all the times we spoke and enjoyed conversations with him the Dome. He was one of many coaches who would come up to the press box and talk with the media and when interviews were done, he would hold court and share some stories.
Chip Sherman and Fred Bouchard were both coaches from other parts of the state that Anvil Welch and I would enjoy catching up with when we were in St. Louis for championship weekend.
Last Friday had to be beyond freaky for Chip, though, as he is now an assistant at St. Pius X.
Platte County is all different from those "muscle" Sherman years. Spread offense with perhaps the best gunslinger (certainly on par with Mitchell 2016) they've ever fielded. Like the aforementioned who became a starting catcher at OU Rocco looks every bit the baseball part. The huge key I saw last week is the supporting cast. Not sure how anyone will be able to hold that offense below the 30s the rest of the way but that is, as the old old saying goes, why they play the game.
I look forward to seeing the talent on the field ... I have the utmost respect for the program and the school since I was treated extremely well by everyone when covering games there in 1999 and 2002. Have never had a negative experience with Platte County High School.
Last time I was in Platte City was June 18-20, 2021, my youngest was playing a USSSA Tournament and we played one game Friday night at Platte Ridge Park and then two on Saturday. It was one of those KC Sports 64 team events where you had to go 3-0 or 2-1 to advance to Sunday. My son, knowing that the College World Series had just started in Omaha, knew that if we didn't advance to Sunday, instead of driving back to Carl Junction, we would wake up Sunday and head to Omaha. After they lost Friday night at Platte Ridge, we got to parking lot and he whispered to me, "Omaha is starting to look really good about now."
Sunday morning we stopped at Dairy Queen in Platte City for breakfast, my son noticed the Platte County High School logo is very similar to our favorite college baseball program ... So let's just say if you see someone at Webb City Friday night standing in the northeast corner (my spot as a neutral observer) of the stadium wearing Oklahoma State apparel, it's kind of a dead giveaway.
Lots of family etc. ties to Platte City not gonna bore everyone with it all just suffice to say I agree with you wholeheartedly it is a very nice town and the school and fans, by and large, are very knowledgeable and respectful.
This is a (real) fun bunch to watch and keep in mind as you witness this one Friday night the core of this team is JUNIORS so they really are one year ahead of the curve (remind me a lot of 2002 Kearney).
I believe the last time I saw Platte County in person was when they played Salem in the dome over 20 years ago.
Pius was Class 2 PC Class 3 how times have changed!
Yep when I was a youngster Barry Road (152) was considered the outer suburban highway. It is 92 today and all three communities continue to grow but Platte City is the fastest by far.
I had to look it up. PC beat Salem in the dome twice during their 3 peat. And both of those teams pounded the rock if I recall.
Yep muscle ball. If you get a chance to peek at today's Pirates it is nothing like that.
Another side we didn't really discuss is this fast, athletic attacking ala Spags D. I never thought they would control Pius like they did.

I had to go back and look at some history ... from 1999-2002, Platte County had to go through the Big 8 Conference three times in four years to get to the state championship game. Aurora in 1999 which won 14-0 at Pirate Stadium (has Platte County been shut out at home since that game?), they beat Kansas City O'Hara in the 2000 semifinals, Carl Junction 36-6 at Bulldog Stadium in 2001 and then the Seneca victory in 2002.
Chance Wistrom, the older brother of Grant and Tracey, was head coach at Seneca at that time. Tracey was drafted in the spring 2002 NFL Draft as a tight end out of Nebraska by Tampa Bay.
Been a loooooong time all of a sudden, thanks. Dad and I were down at Webb City for the C4 semi the day Platte County beat Seneca they kept announcing the score said a Wistrom was HC all this fuzzy memory can bring back now LOL.
I think that Harding at Pitt State game is going to be a real battle. I would vote for that one on Saturday. Two of the best D2 teams in the country.
The son was pushing to go to Pittsburg ... but now that I know I can watch it on ESPN+, when I get home from Lamar, will just tune in and watch it from the comfort of the couch ...
