Noticed the other day that MSHSAA has tickets for the State Football Championship on their website. I says December 1st at Noon but I wonder if that time will change and exactly how many tickets they will sell?
What are you talking about?I know they won't have tickets for sell for the 1A to 5A championship because they haven't had those classes in 18 years.
There are no “A”s on the names of the classes. What are you talking about?
Oh no, they used the old, traditional names for the classes.... How dare they not be so politically correct 🙄There are no “A”s on the names of the classes.
Why is it this time in particular that a sarcastic reply to the “a” is offensive?Oh no, they used the old, traditional names for the classes.... How dare they not be so politically correct 🙄

Yes there is. Right after the L and before the 1st S.There are no “A”s on the names of the classes.
Iowa's method perplexes me: A, 1A, 2A, 3A and 4A. WTF? 🤓The one that perplexes me is how Texas classifies their schools.
Most states use letters or a combination of a letter and a number. However, the MSHSAA official that made the change had come back to Missouri from Virginia and in Virginia they use only a number.
To be semi serious, I think when FB went to 4 classs in the late 60s it was done to save ink for newspapers back in the day. Took less to type 1A than Class 1.
Trivia: The AFL Raiders started in Oakland but their original name was not the Raiders and a newspaper was responsible for the name change. Anybody know what it was?

I know it had to do with the newspapers as you said. I’m assuming the name was considered a laugh by many. Not 100% sure on that one. I’d have to bust out google for that one lolAnd why did they have to change it?
